  1. Thanks Ian I'll do that when I've got 5 mins
  2. Hi Ian ive never lubricated the rack, how do i do that, all seems to move freely when jacked up and on the plates for the MOT. i put a new track rod end on and obviously didn't get it in the same position, steering wheel now pionts to the right a bit, steering actually feels a bit lighter hence my getting the tracking done
  3. Does it make a difference being the old style front suspension or is it ok putting the newer figures on? its for road use with 888r s the steering at the moment (well before I took things apart) felt heavy compared to a narrow front end new car I drove at Christmas
  4. Cheers Jonathon you're a star.

    Tracking

going to get tracking adjusted are there any measurements I should tell the garage? 1990 de-dion standard setup cheers tony
  6. Hi Craig your car looks really good in that scheme. Hopefully see you about on one of Nigel's runs? Tony and Bridget
  7. very nice pale blue with half hood up in Calendar high street last Friday.
  8. White 620 with black stripe and black nose with white stripe near greenwelly in roadworks, I was in a white defender with Walk Mull written down the side waving like a mad man.
  9. Well done Ivan, looking forward to them.
  10. I changed engine and gearbox mounts when I had mine out. Also checked wiring for crispness around primaries and replaced where necessary.
  11. Just taken with my iphone through the windscreen, you can see a lot further down the road than the photo shows. Much better than the standard lights by quite a lot. http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh466/7tastic/IMG_0182_zpsg9yfodwz.jpg
  12. Just fitted and I'm impressed with my initial test in the garage, with new one fitted against my standard lights fitted with upgraded Philips bulbs there is a marked difference. The leds are much brighter with a whiter light. I'll try gem up the road tonight if it stays dry to see how far the light travels. very easy to fit, I decided against setting the halo up as an indicator but would have been simple for me as my wing repeaters are on the side of my headlamp bowl.
  13. Thanks, I find the looks a little modern but might give them a go for £120 were they noticeably brighter?
  14. Might be a silly question but are they for right hand drive cars or doesn't it matter? ive noticed the 7 inch ones are available on amazon for £62 each
  15. Opie recommended either Gulf motorsport 15W50 or Fachs 15W50 when I phoned them for a replacement for Mobil 1
  16. Hood up parked outside the police station in Oban.
  17. Tom, I had a problem getting into reverse which ended up being the tunnel top bag slipping round and fouling the gear stick (just in case you have one) simple once I'd figured out.
  18. Cheers, I'll check them out
  19. Thanks Aeroscreens, I think I'll get one of those, the thing I had before had a pipe and a ball, it gave a different reading each time I put it on without any adjustment.
  20. is there a good step by step guide for balancing Weber 40's and does anyone have a decent tool they want to sell? I've used a plastic one before with not very good results so want something a bit better. any advice appreciated. cheers tony

    Tyres

diggerman, Let me know what you think of them, especially in cold/wet conditions. It's always good to get a 3rd opinion. :-)

    Tyres

Are the R888 R's better in the wet than the AO48's ? I currently run the same tyres as diggerman in the same size so would be interested to hear if they are better, also are they the same height as my sump would be most upset if the ride height dropped.
  24. If not redline (always the first place to try)then try speedy cables
