  1. Mobil 1 15/50 in my Roger King 155 engine.
  2. Looks great value, I guess it's a 1700? I couldn't see any engine details in the advert. Good luck with the sale
  3. Looks great Simon, I was leading a group up there in the sunshine on Saturday, and again tomorrow (probably in the rain) it's a fantastic bit of coastline and the views from the peaks are amazing.
  4. Shame I didn't know, I could have met them for a cuppa somewhere. Any excuse to get the car out :-)
  5. Not from Mull unless there are some more here that I don't know about.
  6. Just fitted the grill, heres a couple of shots http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh466/7tastic/P1020889_zps77d090f6.jpghttp://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh466/7tastic/P1020888_zpsf34f2e1f.jpg
  7. Google images shows the plunger out about 10mm so it looks like my 3mm is a little depressed so hopefully that's my problem, I'll phone redline in the morning and order another pump. Cheers 7 wonders
  8. If I poor some oil into one side of the pump it runs straight out of the small gallery with the oprv. Does that mean it's stuck open or is there another way of checking. The plunger is sitting about 3mm out into the gallery.
  9. Gauge reading zero, popped in a new sender but no difference, grounding cable moves needle to full. Started without sender in and no oil coming from hole. Popped sump off and oil pick up pipe looks ok. Oil pump seems to pump, how do I test the over pressure valve in the pump (what does it look lile?) Any other ideas? Tony
  10. And the starter motor needs to come off, I did mine a few weeks ago, pretty straight forward.
  11. There are 2 bolts you can't see untill you remove the metal clutch cover(the bottom bit at the bell housing). Then it should just come down with a bit of a wiggle.
  12. Hi Julian You'll be too busy having fun. Spent the day watching sea birds 😬 Tell Howard he's more than welcome to pop round for a cuppa the links are bed and breakfast photography workshops guided walking Tony
  13. Hi Paul Still cycling when we can fit it in to our busy schedule. On Friday I was working my fingers to the bone leading a group in the beuitifull sunshine, photographing Otters, Eagles and the amazing scenery, mistakenly assuming my dinner would be lovingly prepared only to find that Bridget had spent the day sailing around Iona in a gaff ketch Think we need longer days to fit everything in Hope alls well down your way
  14. Wow, that has got to be one of the longest spotted ever 😬 "hi are you Randybugger" from someone in a tintop is always a worrying question to answer (especially as we get a lot of German guests 😳 ) Great to meet you both and to hear you had a good time on Mull. I still can't believe we are lucky enough to live here and make a living from doing such amazing things Anyone blatting on mull is welcome to pop round for a cuppa
  15. Glad you had a good trip to Mull
  16. Nice one I clean mine regularly but bought some new ones last year as they were looking a little battered, made a big difference.
  17. Ok will try and scrounge a compresion tester of someone and see what it reads. If anyone is in contact with Roger could they please point him towards this thread is it possable to replace the mains and big end bearings without taking the engine out?
  18. just got worried by people saying they only last x amount of miles or you'll need a refresh before it goes pop. oil pressure seems good, doesn't use any oil, have always used mobil1 15~50 every 3000 miles (not sure what to use when my next bottle runs out) and doesn't smoke from breather... maybe I'm worrying unnecessarily
  19. My x-flow is the Roger King 155 engine, its still going strong but just passed 35000 miles so wondered if I should consider a refresh? If so what would this entail and how much would it cost? (and I'm well aware of Zetec conversions but the funds won't streach that far)
  20. Hi Rodders does it have a seperate heating /cooking burners or is it the older all in one type (which we already have)? Tony
  21. I used repair washers when I did my floor, seems to have held well for quite a time. Dont envy you drilling out the steel ones
  22. Hi Tim was on my way back to Kent after the Taffia tour of Wales Tony
  23. I had oxted fit a new frame for me a few years ago, didn't cost that much as far as I can remember, good service too
