  1. No pics but basically you wire the relay in as if its the switch (2 possitions) then wire the switch into the relay to flip the switches inside I drew it out on a peice of paper first so I knew where to wire it up Its easier than I'm making it sound...............best ask someone else Tony
  2. The relay was easy to fit...............buy-passes the current from the switch so it shouldn't melt saves your lights going out mid bend on a dark night which could be nasty Tony
  3. I put a relay behind the switch and have had no problems since Tony

  5. I had signs of sagging sit ups cured it 😬 Tony
  6. I think I will have a go at fitting a pedal stop thanks for the help Tony
  7. Hi Terry my original had adjusters at both ends but the ones I've been using recently have the rubber bung at one end. Dont seem to be one listed for the x-flow (five speed box) on caterhams site with adjusters at both ends? maybe there was a dodgy batch? (I bought 2 at the same time) or I'm doing something wrong (cant see what) Tony
  8. I've put a couple of new cables on recently which have started to creak after only about 600 miles? I noticed it is a different design from my old one which lasted 6 years and had a screw and a couple of nuts at the pedal end instead of the rubber thing. when I've taken them out they seem to have stretched in the clear plastic liner? anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong? I fit them with spacers so the cable rooting from the pedal is aligned, the clutch then feels nice and smooth but then the creaking starts, the clutch feels heavier etc Tony
  9. Manxseven YHM (JW does not advertise the price on his site)
  10. After a lot of reading on the pro's and cons of Brake upgrades I decided on James Whiting's Alcon calipers and new disks absolutely fantastic miles better than the standard setup and I haven't even finished bedding them in yet, the whole experience of driving has changed and feels fantastic. more confidence and fun braking later with more feel and power for less effort on the pedal. As you can probably tell I am very pleased 😬 and would recomend them to anyone
  11. Thanks received today Tony
  12. Is this a standard cable? why doesn't it fit yours? I have a 1990 di dion x flow, if it is the right one for mine then yes please Tony
  13. *thumbup*Fixed *thumbup* scuttle bolts wer a little loose + dw along join found a stone under bonnet wiggled, prodded and banged everything in sight checked springs/suspension one of the above seems to have done the trick Tony

  16. I've got a loud cracking/creaking noise coming from the passager side side skin? exhaust area when i go round a right bend or if the road gets bumpy The exhaust doesn't make a noise when I wiggle it up and down the passanger seat is secure nothing looks broken any ideas Tony
  17. Thats funny Mal, I was going to get the Alkon upgrade from JW so I can claw a bit back under braking to keep up with you 😬 the white silk scarf will be fab Tony
  18. Did you bed them in properly? I've had bike pads wear out quikly if they are not Tony
  19. I put some Ferrari repeaters on mine look good and come in a nice box Tony

  21. Tightened up belt but problem is getting worse Light flickers up tp 1500 revs now when hot ang goes out when bonnet comes of, have taken out and will take to an auto elecrician to have it looked at Tony Changed regulator, hopefully the end of the problems Edited by - randybugger on 11 Mar 2008 16:37:33
  22. Had a look at fan belt last night , had about an inch of up down movement but there is no screeching when the light comes on, will try increasing tick over slightly Tony
  23. after about half hour of driving my ignition light comes on at tickover, it goes out with a slight touch of the throttle but comes on again next time i stop If I take the bonnet off the light goes out (engine bay cools?) Battery reads about 14v and about 13.2 with all lights on etc car stars well so battery seems to be charging ok I have just fitted a Powerspeed exhaust (x-flow engine) which is fab but would this make the primaries hotter (back pressure?) could it be cooked wiring (how would I check) any advice would be good Tony
