An excellent Tyre - I've used these (well VikingContact's) a lot in Norway in fact we still have them on wifey's Forrester - I switched to Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 this year though on my car (156 SW) as I needed new tyres & they won all the tests - excellent so far but been a bl00dy warm winter here so far...

Loads of proper 13" winter tyres available if you go down to a 165 width... but proper winter tyres are soft & gooey - made for proper winters and will be quickly ruined in warmer / drier conditions...

Option 1 - Non starter for me being quartz Option 2 - Would have preferred the C8 pilot over the C10 but either way not keen myself on the replacement of the "7"... So for those reasons, sorry but I'm out..

Yes plenty 200kg scales available but they're digital, so they need a tap to switch on and usually go off if no one steps on them quick enough.. I didn't want to make an investment in 4 to find out I was running around in circles... I went with Simon (Meteor) set up instructions and with a little tweaking found a really good balance in handling and perfect braking... Good enough for spirited road driving anyway ;)

Gotta agree with JoeC - anyone used to riding bikes will find a sequential box natural... Having said that, I´ve not driven a cat with a sequential box but I have driven a few BE single seaters and the sequential is a pleasure... You don´t really need flat shift either - just pressure the lever hard and lift ever so lightly then bang next gear ;) They cannot be coaxed gently like a syncro box, as with all dog boxes - the firmer & faster, the better.

Not sure about the springs in this case but having had a number of bikes over the years I have an "old" screwdriver where I´ve modified the end with a slot / notch/ hook (grinding wheel & cutting discs) to allow my to hook springs and pull like heck on them;)

I have exactlythe one you are looking for the BDR kit in 1:12 with prisoner wheels - bought online a couple of years back for a couple of hundred quid... I'm not sure about shifting it on though as I'm sure you'll find it's rather rare unbuilt! Also I have no idea where it is right now as I've moved house recently and have about 60m³ boxes in storage!! If you have no luck, let me know and I can have a think about it - probly better it gets built than gathers dust

@ Belper Cat Not quite true... They are both divers watches... Nothing to do with submarines.. Helium does not penetrate the metal, it seeps in through the elastomer seals on the back and crystal... The reasons the Sea Dweller came about is precisely because commercial helium divers experienced the crystals blowing off "normal" submariners on decompression after a long time in sat... The "relief" valve is a one way check valve that allows the venting off of the helium during decompression.. ie it allows pressure to go from inside out not outside in. TBH... What do you need a handbrake for?? Parking? Leave it in first / reverse.. Hill Starts? Heel & toe...
