  3. My new (to me) 2002 Superlight came with a Powervamp 25 battery, collected mid November. Drove a few times and tucked it up in the garage 3 weeks ago before the salt arrived so not driven since 😔 All seemed fine, it started the car but didn't seem any different to my previous Banner I had in my previous Roadsport. In all the time I had that I never touched the battery - it just worked Today I went into the garage and it was completely dead Would not even get the fuel pump going? Only used 3 weeks ago and it was perfect? I didn't have a trickle charger on it but assumed that with regular use (once a month) would be enough, especially as other on here have quoted that their Powervamp works fine after sitting untouched for 3-4 months! Everything was off, the battery was still connected with the only drain on the battery being the immobiliser. Surely this can't have killed the Powervamp in 3 weeks? My old Banner would have lasted 2 months and still fired up. Have I now permenantly damaged the battery as well as the gel tyoes are not meant to be completely discharged? I have been on the PV website and it says they have a life of 8 or 10 years!! Could the battery have a fault? It was reading about 4 volts or so when I checked it.... Anyone else experienced the same? Do I need a cut off switch? I can't do a trickle charger where the car is parked the majority of the time. 4. Need to change just one of the studs on both of my front hubs... Can I just hit it with a hammer or do I need to remove the hub to get them out? Cheers Stuart
  5. Well... I am waiting for a call back from CC to see if this will work. What should I be looking for? Will playing with the switches on the back of the rev counter work? Is there anyway you can test the change up light without actually going out and thrashing it ? Cheers Stuart
  6. Anyone? Edited by - Stuart McGill on 15 Jan 2010 15:38:05
  7. Mav - would that be this one? Hmm, thanks for that Richard! Think I might give up before I begin although the previous owner did say that it used to work and then stopped. He talked about some switches inside the guage?
  8. 2002 1.6 Superlight (EU3) Recently purchased and although I have hardly driven it I don't think the change up light works (the one in the centre of the rev counter) I know there is or used to be an issue with the EU3 shift light, but is there any way of sorting this. Any suggestions please? Stuart
  9. Indeed Dominic.... and you can see me in front of you (just!) 😬
  10. Richard Yes - I can rotate it slightly but however much I do the tail pipe still points downwards? I can't even seem to adjust the rear bracket to account for this Cutting it shorter would help!! I'll try and get some pics.
  11. I had a long 4-1 exhaust with a 6" silencer. I had grounding issues because the front of the can was too low. Even playing with the rear bracket did not help as I have quite large speed bumps to get over. I have now borrowed (thanks TomB) a 5" silencer that I will buy if it is okay. I now have the issue that the outlet/ exit pipe is quite long and this now grounds instead 🙆🏻. The silencer is however fine (not grounding), albeit a bit noisier! Should I be changing the rear bracket when I swap between the 6" and 5" silencer? Can I cut the outlet pipe shorter as it points down significantly? WIll it make it louder? Any other suggestions? The only real way I can see to improve it would be to relocate the rear bracket on the silencer i.e. put it higher up if that makes sense but this is obviosuly starting to turn into a bigger job 🙆🏻 Stuart
  12. Les - thanks for the offer - YHM Pendennis - thanks for the offer too but it looks like i'm sorted 😬 Stuart
  13. Has anyone else got any short short studs please? SM25T coudl not find his. Elie - could use some spacers I guess but just thought it would be easier to swap one of the studs on each. Also the wings are a bit close fitting as they are so don't really want to put the wheels further out.
  14. Ian Thanks for that, please do let me know if you manage to have a look. I assume I am okay running one shorter stud?
  15. Link to my recent Sikaflex advert... ended up getting Tiger Seal from ebay.
  16. Yep... 292 but I struggled to find it recently at a sensible cost so I used Tiger Seal. Will look for my recent thread....
  17. I have Rial wheels and the previous owner (TonyR) I think put extended studs on the front and left the short/ normal ones on the back. I went to fit locking wheel nuts and they fit fine on the back (short studs) but on the front they will not tighten sufficiently / at all as the studs are too long. I assume it would do no harm to just swap one of the studs on the front back to a shorter stud and fit the locking wheel nut to this? Probably a daft questions but just want to check as i 🥰 my new wheels! Thanks in advance Stuart p.s.. If it is okay does anyone have two short studs I can have please?
  18. I might be selling a 6" can... let me know if your interested. It will NOT help on the ground clearance issue, this is the reason I swapped for a 5" as I was having ground clearance issues with speed bumps etc Stuart
  19. Just for the record... I ordered a 5 foot length of guage line (1.55m). I did not have the pressure switch and so the line came direct from the oil filter housing. It was the exact right length and I managed to pull the hose through the hole I made in the dash, connect the guage to the line and then fit into the dashboard. I routed it fairly directly (as Ian says below): Along the front of the sump then up to top chassis rail on the offside, then round back of engine and through the big grommet on the tunnel top just forward of the gearstick. I now have an accurate oil pressure guage 😬 rather than the crappy standard one Hope that helps someone sometime. Stuart

  21. Stu There is a place close to you on Golborne Enterprise Park that I have driven past before. I am not even sure if it does Armourfend but it is work a try... I'll have a google and see what i can find.
  22. I ordered a new Nano two days ago ☹️ ☹️ ☹️
  23. So answers as follows so far.. converted into feet: Tweeky - 6.9 ft (2.1m) Whoosh - 6 foot Steve T - 4 ft 2 inches SM25T - 6.6 ft (2 m) Roger Ford - 4.6 ft (1.4 m) I reckon 5ft is the way forward... i'll report back when it arrives and I come to fit it! I realise it depends on where you route the pipe by the way.... Stuart Edited by - Stuart McGill on 4 Dec 2009 09:35:38
