  1. Well done matey Congrats *thumbup* *thumbup* *thumbup*
  2. It was raining - so my mechanic said no! Issues with the reverse box early last week - managed to sort that with a complete new drive train by Friday - Thanks to Andy at BAR Props over in Neath Abbey. I had a run out on Friday and the car wasn't charging Saw the forecast and thought sod it! Did you win?
  3. Yes Please go ahead - Mark and I need a new culprit to try our new padlock and chains on given that Mr Gibbs won't be with us and he cut through the straps on the last bit of kit! Bit out of order if you ask me 😬 Its the one reason I succombed to a tent and not converting my trailer as I couldn't trust you lot 😔
  4. That's not necessarily the case. Different damper manufacturers will have different body lengths for the same stroke. It all depends on the construction and size of the parts within. So if you look at the picture posted there is not much difference in the travel even though the damper is shorter. All our dampers are closer to regular length which in many installations with shorter body dampers can give even more travel. Much of which can not actually be used I may add as the chassis would be on the floor if it did so!
  5. Roberto. Yours are correct when made to Nitron spec for your car. I can see this because of the extended top loop. Meteor spec are different lengths to Nitrons own. Please don't worry and enjoy. Then call me when you want them fixed to something better 😬
  6. They are shorter as they run on stiffer springs than the bilstein and therefore without much pre load on the spring to get the best ride height. If the were as long as the bilstein when going over a crest or unloading the wheel the spring would be very loose. Not in contact with the top collar. Check it out with Nitron if you wish but the look fine to me.
  7. Ahh Roberto - you should have bought them from me 😬 Roberto - they may not be set p correctly for the car but they are the correct length -for Nitron's standard specification for your car - they have been produced to those dimensions for years. It allows a little less travel at full droop but on the other side of the scale you will get a little more Low Flying You will need to run the setting on the softest setting to get anywhere near good ride but they will fit OK - don't worry. Feel free to call me if you are worried. See my link below.
  8. My guess from the description of the handling is that the spring rates are to hard not the the damping in the units themselves - mind you I guess there will be to much rebound and not enough compression also. I have been there and driven cars with rear springs in particularly that are to hard. Bounce you all over the place.
  9. TBH you should always count from full hard backwards to full soft. So FH the -1, -2 -3 etc. This will give you the best base line -ie the needle and jet will be closed at full hard - dont force it past its natural hard point - it won't always go to the next click! Full hard is when the shims will have an effect at full soft or probably within half a dozen clicks of full soft the bleed through the jet and piston will be taking the majority of the oil and so there won;t be much difference to a click at this softer end of the scale. However from experience the dampers are not likely to be the same on the same click settings any way and the only way to tell if they are is to have them dyno tested.
  10. It also sounds like the stator is toast. Been there done that. Yes Buses have cam sensors but can also run in wasted spark format all the time if required - pre set and mapped that way. They change from wasted to sequential when the can sensor sees 5k rpm. Known that in car installation the can sensor is erratic. How do I know? But this years engine is sequential mapped and all OK - same loom!
  11. Hi. Forgive me if I have overlooked anything at the end of your post but a Busa needs to have 1.22 - 1.25v on the TPS for tick over. Not sure why you don't have spark though? Now I will read the rest
  12. From my recent servicing experience depending upon age they won't be as good as new inside. This can only be proven by opening up- see the video on my website. Given you want as good as new money I'll pass thanks. Still looking therefore.
  13. Thanks everyone sold. Sorry Danny in the time I was confirming the detail to someone on email you have posted.
