  1. Heads down everyone. Prepare for i coming! 1 × vino roso 2 × double concentrate Ribena
  2. NO 😔 Sitting on my hands as I have to have a drink round there later. You see the trouble is TM can't take his booze and if I offer him more than one glass of vino there will be trouble on every internet forum he belongs to. The local angling club will be up in arms because he will have upset all the fish. The local Land Rover club will be checking their wheel nuts and I'll have to lock all my doors!!!!
  3. Excellent photos by the guys @ JMS Photographic again.
  4. Hi Shaun Can you have a look at your data on Race keeper and look at the time the 2nd chicane when your nearside wheel is alongside the centre red and white barrier. I make my time to this point 34.8 sec ish (My little Garmin is 1/10th out along the run compared to my actual time. Its difficult to see from Youtube but I reckon I am up on you there by 1.5 - 2sec. From there on your power is awesome and it just catches me hand over fist!
  5. Alan you must habeen on the beer, I didn't see any cone or post anywhere 😬
  6. My Saturday Run My Sunday P2 Run just 0.03 slower that Saturday but a whole lot more relaxed! Edited by - Simon.Rogers on 16 Jun 2014 16:34:26
  7. I think you may find I set a Class 7 Record also Check Class 6 from 2010. I was 15m up to the first chicane on my last run compared to Saturdays record until the downshift gremlin appeared. I'll be out in the garage tonight to hunt him down Don't think it would have been a 53sec run quite! Shaun's time was 😶‍🌫️ I need more power ❗ 114mph into the final braking area on Sunday mornings P2 which was 3 hundredths of the previous days record. And it was all so easy - no locked brakes after changing the pads on Sunday morning - unlike Saturday. Video uploading now
  8. I'll have you know the driving aids have been switched off all weekend. They are unlikely to return now that the slicks are on the car!
  9. I should point out that I mean those of the front dampers as they arrived. Never seen anything like it!
  10. Thanks Mike. Rob I will send you the graphs of the fronts tomorrow 😔
  11. Sorry should have added the Caterham Billies that of course only tend to do 1 run but I have seen low 50deg
  12. Jez. I wasn't trying to suggest anything. So these are the figures I have seen. Nitron NTR1 40mm standard spec - fast warm up and during a full test of the 24 clicks (every other click) I would see a peak around 60deg As above Meteor valving 54deg Ohlins 2 way about the 56deg (double the runs as there are more clicks and double the adjustment) Quantum One Zero and Two Zero 40mm @ mid 50's Penske 2 way 55mm @52deg Penske 3 way remote can 55mm @ 46deg ( and this damper was worked and worked for a long time) So when I tested the TTX 46mm 4 way and I saw 97deg I was really very surprised. 50 deg is very hot to touch but 97 is sizling!!!! It had a good work out but only every 5 clicks so not excessive. But the damper is very small and runs to forces twice as stiff as the 7 other than the standard Nitron which is double that again. My conclusion is that the volume of oil in the damper plays a very significant part in the temperature reached along then with other design criteria.
  13. To be clear. This is on the Dyno and temp taken from the metal body. It ran a number of 2 minute test cycles with probably 2 min between tests. And yes I realise no air is passing it etc but it would run for much longer period on a car. Go on Roger commit to a figure 😬
  14. Can anyone tell me what temperature you think a damper will operate at? I have a selection of data from Caterham units but I also have an Ohlins TTX here from a Mini and I will provide that info also. 🤔 I have the data from my dyno and will provide the answer later.
  15. Sold out of the supper low offer ☹️ But Mel's prices are always good so give him a call.
  16. Simon.Rogers1

    ZZR Tyres

But are those prices plus VAT? Kumho's are significantly less!

  18. Mel has just called me - he has Kumho 235's on special offer @ £68 each. They all come with a comedy phone call and load of free verbal abuse 😬
  19. Its to fast for him anyway
  20. Badger Glad you were reading the pop ups! Yes and it changes automatically or more specifically to all these systems at preset revs both up and down. These figures/revs can be changed but only via a laptop in the garage - not on the go. I think on track that may work but on the road it would not be flexible enough and you still need the clutch to start/stop. Geoff Pickins car was in various conversion states. Started with handlebars and twist grip. More lately it was steering wheel with hand clutch, throttle and brake. All on or around the steering wheel. You may wish to speak to Mike Riley who did the conversion.
  21. My data shows no corner force increase with the wider fronts but under hard braking the wider fronts clearly give 0.3g increase.
  22. Remember that you are altering the tracking of the car when changing the camber.
