  1. I changed mine using the Stack mechanical and sandwich plate adaptor from Merlin. Quite easy and accurate/reliable I think. Cheers, Steve
  2. I'm considering venturing into 21 ownership but the 1st hurdle would be finding one that someone wants to sell. Anybody out there looking to do so? Cheers, Steve

  5. I have a set (front only) of Pagid RS4 brake pads for the Hi spec 4 pots. Done about 1000 road miles so pretty much like new. Best track pads I have ever used. Cost me £150 incl VAT so £75 for the set. This is about the same price as the Ds 2500's I bought with the calipers and there is a huge difference in performance in my experience. Only removed as I am selling the car.
  6. Yes, all the sevens I have built or owned are like this and never had a problem in 20 odd years. Cheers, Steve
  7. It might be worth checking with Jon Vicker at Millwood. I bought some from him a few years ago but think the manufacturer is still producing.
  8. Hi Paul, For my money I would look at Pagid blue pads. I've just bought a set for my Hispec calipers. Having used them before I don't think you can beat them for powerful braking. Got mine from Performance braking in Monmouth. all the best, Steve
  9. I bought this earlier in the year but don't think my Sigma car will pull it. I paid £150 and it is still in the box it arrived in. I was told that it was a good diff by Arno so I can only presume it is. It is clean and drained of oil. Anyone interested at £150? Gloucestershire/Worcs borders. Cheers, Steve
  10. Covered Trailer for sale. Brian James 2100 clubmans 4 wheel trailer, with an aluminium clad box section frame. It has a large upward hinged side door, and an upward hinged rear door with separate ramps. There are side racks, a front tyre rack, and small bench and vice, electric winch and internal lights. The trailer internal dimensions are 4.4 metres X 1.87 Metres. The available bed size for the car is 3.9 metres X 1.87 Metres. The trailer rating plate shows a gross loaded weight of 2600 kg. The trailer is approximately 8 years old. Not used much in the last few years Price £3000.00 ono Photos by email on request
  11. For sale, an almost immaculate set of wheels in silver with hub centre caps and short rubber valve stems. Standard Caterham Minator spec. One of the 6 inch wheels has a couple of very small marks in the lacquer but otherwise they are excellent. Balance perfectly and drive completely vibration free. Would have liked £250 but looks like that is too much so all offers considered. Cheers, Steve
  12. Cheesmans in Woking are the manufacturers. I had a repackable made by Simpsons in Slough which is a fair bit quieter than the standard box. I should think Cheesmans would tell you anything specific re the materials used but when I've had to get their stuff welded just standard stainless welding rod does the job. Cheers, Steve
  13. I had a similar problem with the 7 inch can Simpsons made for me. Nothing wrong with the silencer, just the mounting. Copper RTV in the female part and clamp up tight with the Mikalor. Left it to set for a day and it does not move at all. Cheers, Steve
  14. Thanks Jonathan, I think a warning light would be beneficial, this is the first car I've had without one. I'll have a look at the items you've suggested. What would we do with our time if it wasn't for these little gems? Steve
  15. On my Sigma car which was converted to 140 spec a few years ago there is no visible ignition/charge light. Only, main beam and left/right indicator led lights in the tacho. Is it necessary for there to be a charge light in order to get the alternator fired up? There is the normal Toad immobiliser lamp in the dashboard. The car did its usual trick today, 4 miles up the road it starts misbehaving. Stop, turn it off, restart and it is good as gold. Any further comments welcome before I make a pilgrimage to Essex.
  16. The standard alternator supplied by Ford. Never been able to check it whilst not working as the revs have to be kept up manually, one to have ago at. It charges absolutely fine once up and running. I am hoping that Steve Greenald will be over our way sometime soon to have a look at the settings on the ECU. Yes it is a locked one. Thanks for your response. Cheers, Steve
  17. Sorry to hijack this thread but I have had an intermittent issue with my Sigma car (2007) since I've had it. The problem manifests itself as very poor light throttle running with a lot of misfiring and kangerooing. This starts once the engine is warmed up after 3-4 miles. Sometimes turning it off and on again cures it. When I had it mapped at T&R they found that the alternator required the engine to be fast idled for 30 seconds to get the alternator to kick in. This often works but not always. I do wonder if the resistor mentioned is causing the problem. From cold the car needs to be caught on the throttle to run and won't idle until the 30 seconds or so are up. Apparently the engine needs to complete 600 revs before the alternator gets going. Any ideas would be very welcomed. Cheers, Steve
  18. I need a pair of runners for the post 96 seats currently fitted to Roadsports/S type cars. Cheers, Steve
  19. I've got 3 Dunlop Blue response tyres done 8000 miles on a Golf. Size 205/55R16 V rated with about 6mm RTD. Anyone interested £20 each. I would have had 4 but I got a puncture in the other one. Collection from Gloucestershire or delivered at cost.
  20. Jon Vicker at Millwood normally keeps LED lamps for use as repeaters in stock. I've used them and they are very handy for not leaving the indicators on. They also help with the MoT should the need arise. Cheers, Steve
  21. I'm after a silencer bracket for a Sigma car but pretty well anything will do the job on the new silencer. If it's attached to tailpipe I can grind it off. Thanks for any offers. Cheers, Steve
  22. Couple of items left following the sale of the 7. Steve For Sale in Bristol for collection. Jan Randall 0759 4428008 Car Cover, lightweight, breathable £65 Composite windscreen deflector kit £140, will need brackets available from Caterham.
  23. I have for sale (surplus to needs) one new stainless 6 inch silencer (can length 26") which fits a metric Sigma car. Removable end cap is at the tail pipe end. Complete with bracket but not packed with any fill. Price is £170. Pictures and answers to any questions on request. Carriage possible but collection preferred due to size. Cheers, Steve
