  1. Find an unlocked computer, copy the screen (ALT-Print screen). Make a new folder, move all the current desktop icons to that (so you can get them back when the joke's over). Set the screen shot as the background wallpaper. When the victim returns their computer appears normal, but NOTHING WORKS 😬 That teaches them to lock their desktop while away from it See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. 2. Blue 7 with the top down heading North on the Harrogate road just before the Greengates traffics lights, very close to where I live. You were driving toward Rawdon and the airport at about 11:00 this morning. I would have been in mine if the DVLA weren't still dragging the registration process out a month on ☹️ Get in touch if you are local See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. 4. If,when the music stops, there is one spare Caterham red front cycle wing going then I would be interested in that. (Don't ask). See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  5. Look at my Sigma dashboard here to see the lightning bolt that I take to be the ignition warning light... HTH Edited to say, glad you like the rest of the gallery, thanks. See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos! Edited by - BadBob on 29 Feb 2008 17:47:39
  6. The latest build manual says: The existing holes may require cleaning with a 1/8” drill bit to remove paint but under no circumstances should additional holes be drilled. But does not explain why. I guess that means leave it as standard unless you really know what you are doing (which I don't for one). See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. 7. Here is a shot of the routing through the tunnel of my build. The kit was delivered in October. (Ignore the silicone sealer, I had been planning to seal over the whole length of the tunnel to stop water coming up from below.) See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. 8. Hi Martin, Well, 10L of petrol was enough for my sigma a couple of weeks ago. I had planned to remove the plugs to reduce the strain on the starter when cranking for oil pressure, but found I needed a very long reach plug spanner - you might want to look into that? A survey of other people having trouble getting started shows that for the most part they succeed after checking all the electrical connectors are tight. Mine started third turn of the key but needed a bit of throttle. Good luck See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  9. Here's Bob with an angle grinder 😬 Well, you did ask See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  10. Have you been to the Caterham web site and downloaded the latest version of the build manual? Although it's not obvious this is updated from time to time and has helped me a couple of times. The latest version appears to say that you need 4 behind and none in front. See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  11. £1.50 a minute 😳 I shall have to put my rates up 🙅🏻‍♂️ See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  12. Come over to my web cam between 15:00 and 17:00 and watch us trying to get the Caterham started for the first time , leave rude remarks on the message board when we get it all horribly wrong . Edited to say all the shedders invited too. See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos! Edited by - BadBob on 12 Jan 2008 13:04:04
  13. Will this be the best way to clean the new brake discs on my build? They are covered in some kind of protective wax out of the box, must need removal before first use? See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  14. for the Dremel, saved me a lot of agro with otherwise awkward jobs. Get a bit that will cut fibreglass (and a good face mask). See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!

"Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing a man described as white, big and aggressive, with a stocky, muscular build, at least 6ft tall and with dark-coloured eyes. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 16. Many thanks, straight through the ally it is then, and off to the shops tomorrow for a hole punch. Cheers, Rob See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  17. A mundane question but a few people must have solved this one already: As I have 4 point harnesses the build manual tells me to remove the ally 'stiffener' from the leading edge of the boot cover. Is there a trick to this, or do I need to unpick and re-instate the (machined) stitching? Also, what's the best method to punch holes to pass the bolts through, and I guess I need to punch holes through the boot material to fix the 'durable dot' fasteners too? Thanks for your help! Carpets

I'm fitting mine with velcro in my build now. It's taken ages to glue velcro strips around the carpets and on the bodywork, and is going to need some care to get the carpets lying flat and straight. I hope it will pay off if the carpets ever get wet as they will be removable for drying. I suspect it will not look as good or be as effective for sound deadening as gluing the carpets permanently to the car. I'll post a picture to the web site in the New Year. 20. A trick to make a hex key that will fit a normal ratchet: Cut the end off (about 1.5-2cm) the arm of an old key of the appropriate size. Put a matching socket on your ratchet over one end, and apply the business end to the bolt. You still have a usable - if short - hex key left over. Hi BOS, not much building going on at the moment, too busy with work/visitors/Xmas. Back at it in the New Year and plotting an engine-start party toward the end of Jan. 24. I second that suggestion, and add that a forum for on-going builders would be useful, certainly from my perspective as an on-going builder! See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
  25. Would this also be applicable to the 150 Sigma do you know by any chance? (The final product, not the offer) See my Build Cam for progress on the Roadsport Sigma build. Now with photos!
