Please can any tyre and suspension gurus help me with some advice? I was at Cadwell on Monday first time on track with decent tyres, R888's. Once I got going a bit I could see the rubber rolling up into ridges when I got back in, I think that's meant to happen, but the most pronounced rolling was on the inside 1/3rd of the tread of the fronts. I'm wondering if this means my suspension setup is wrong? Too much toe out/in, camber, ??? It all looks OK, but that doesn't mean much I guess. Hello Martin, I hope you are enjoying your build! Here's a couple of pictures of the grot-trap shields I made. I used some thin ally sheet that they sell in Wickes. Grot trap shield right Grot trap shield left I fixed them in place with silicone sealer so they could be removed later if necessary. Guess what? I got home last night to find that some (unmentionables) had tried to steal the roof off my shed. I am (was) proud of my stone built shed with a York stone roof. My next door neighbour spotted them in the act and heroically chased them off and they made off in a white transit van. They dropped the stone slabs which smashed to bits. Police were called but I don't suppose they'll be able to do much unless the van exceeded 30MPH. Hope the roof here is secure. 🙆🏻 They will get a special BadBob wicked deed if I ever catch up with them. Would somebody please pass me a Curly-Wurly to cheer me up ☹️

Baz: I use a block and tackle round the roll bar. Ditto - one of a hundred and one uses for your engine crane.

Might be cheaper to buy from RiF who were selling it by the meter at one point IIRC. I've done some flat surfaces only (e.g. where the doors rub) and it was easy to apply and is unobtrusive.

About 4:00-ish? Could have been me heading over Hardknot for dinner in the Ratty Arms, Ravenglass. Top tip for those planning to follow this route: don't do it at this time of day when the sun is shining right in your eyes, even didn't help. Does it click as soon as you turn one way, then click again as soon as you turn the other, or does it click as it passes a specific spot in its travel? If the former it could be a slight loosening in the clamp between the upper and lower steering columns. Search on here for how to adjust/tighten it - a simple task.
