  1. Got a 150 sigma - and second the good fuel comments. It is much smoother on shell or BP super than supermarket stuff
  2. That would be me - taking my daughter on a novice track days at Brands. Ended up in the gravel trap - so I am now picking stones out of everywhere.....still she loved it! Martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  3. If they are not sold - would be interested. Can you confirm the offset? Can you send pics too? Martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman

  5. Haveing a liitle difficulty with my sigma 150hp - lifting off the throttle and the engine continues to rev and dies down only very slowly unless I "blip" the pedal. I have checked the throttle cable and linkage itself and it seems fine. Any ideas on next steps before I take it back to CC? thanks martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  6. Having got the car out for the good weather - first Blat and I come back to find an extra pint of oil in the catch tank. Also the little black cap on the catch tank is missing Any ideas what could be causing this? Could the lack of a cap on the tank (which looks like a washer bottle in the sigma installation) be sucking oil into it somehow? Or is it the other way - did the extra oil blow off the cap The dipstick is not showing overfull, thouygh obviously a bit lower than before All comments appreciated Martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  7. Re 1 - my pedal was not installed in my chassis when I got it so I installed the pedal and postioned it nearer me (there are a couple of positions for the pedal) and as a result only bent the arm a very little bit - certainly nothing like 5cm. re 2 - waggle the fob - hear a click - the light definitely goes OUT and you can start the engine. So not sure what it was meant to do originally, but that is how it works. HTH Martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  8. So a quick bit of googling suggests that the Ford formula E 5W-30 is a good quality semi-synthetic for a reasonable price - but seems to be the recommended Ford oil for all Sigma engines> I would have thought in 150bhp state of tune, briskly driven (how else do you drive a Caterham ) it would benefit from a synthetic a la Mobil 1? 9. It is run in now so I am looking at what to run long term in my Sigma 150hp engine - CC recommmend the motorsport 5-50w - but they recommend that for everything except cross flows I was thinking of a fully synthetic alternative such as Mobil 1 0W-40? I have had good experience with that in a high performance BMW engine - except it ruthlessly finds any leaks Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  10. Anyone know a good person for doing this? Paint is all still intact so I just want to get it back looking good? The dent is in the engine bay area so I can get at both sides. Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  11. Blue with silver or white stripe on A413 near Great Missenden - I was in the black (silver/gold stripe) one going the other way Martin Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  12. 200 miles on the clock and first blat to Stoneleigh yesterday - everything seemd fine except the diff (LSD) is noisy/whiney under power. Is it a case of TADT or should I investigate it futher? I know 7's are noisy, but the diff is posbly the noisyest thing on the car?? Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  13. The switch on the handbrake is superfluous - nothing to connect it to. Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
  14. What is this CC sub loom? is it the the one they use for their high level brake light option on the spare wheel carrier? Any car which holds together for a whole race is too heavy....C Chapman
