  1. Yes, I have a pair tucked away, excellent condition and with a pair of custom made 2 piece leather pads, with the '7' logo stitched into the backrest. I'm really not sure of a price but looking at the current new cost it might have to be generous, anyway if interested try me with an offer. Paul
  2. This exhaust manifold came off a 2 litre Zetec, in an SV chassis, when I replaced it with a Duratec. It is nicely made in steel with a welded collector and a short length primary pipe before the silencer. It would probably fit a standard chassis but may need a little modification. I only want around £75 but am open to sensible offers if it suits anyone. Situated deep in the heart of the West country - well Somerset actually. BM me if interested. Paul.

Yes I do believe I have one or two (as you do) tucked away in my attic. Do you want it with or without headrest pockets? BM me if it is easier. Paul.
  4. Sorry to be tardy in getting back to you, I've been knocked out with flu since the start of the week and still in bed today feeling rough. Can i get Christmas out of the way and back on my feet, then I can sort out some photos etc etc? My email address is in the advert above. Paul.
  5. This propshaft came off a CSR, but it is believed will also fit an SV. It has only done 7,000 miles and is completely undamaged. £225.00 ono Paul. (paulejacobs@hotmail.com)
  6. These 15" Image wheels are CSR specific, with the correct offsets, the rims are fractionally wider than standard, but accept the correct size of CSR tyre. They are a full, lightweight 3 piece wheel with billet centres in Anthracite, with Anthracite rims and Image centre caps. They are a few years old, but in excellent condition having had very little use, before I sold the car, so are no longer required. Price £750. Pictures available by email. Paul. email: paulejacobs@hotmail.com.
  7. Yep I do as it happens. It was new some years ago and has only done around 2,000 miles, bolted to a zetec engine. Ratios are standard, but it was fitted with a hydraulic clutch assembly, which may or may not be useful. If not, it can be sold without the hydraulics and bellhousing. Not much idea on price, as it is a bit unusual with so little miles on a brand new box. If interested BM me and we can have a chat about it. Paul.
  8. Still available and probably a little bit rarer in this condition and mileage.
  9. I have owned this lovely Lapiz blue 5 door R from new, always kept it garaged and with only 20,000 miles on the clock. It is a rare manual gearbox model, It has 19" Pretoria alloys and a recent set of new Michelin Pilot tyres, also a new battery, with a glass sliding and tilting sunroof as well as an uprated OE sound system. The car is in exceptional condition and, frankly looks like new, having had paint protection film applied from new and a hard glazed paint treatment shortly after purchase. I am asking £19,950 for it. There is some room for manouvre but at this stage I want to stay close to the asking price. If your are interested in a rare, unmolested Golf R which has had exceptional treatment all of its' life, contact me with your email address and I would be happy to send on some pictures. Paul.
  10. It used to carry S5EVN Roger, but that got changed a couple of years ago to Y68 YBP, try TFL again. Strictly speaking, because it has an electric reverse, it might qualify as a hybrid?
  11. Hi Simon, interesting that you now own Kermit. I ended up buying it from Charlie Pank, completely unseen, as he lived in Edinburgh and I'm down here in sunny Somerset. As you can probably see from the original photos, I made quite a lot of improvements to it, can you imagine how hard core it was with a full cage and aeroscreen and no reverse? I kept it for around 5 years and sold it to a nice lad through an internet auction site. You describe the experience very well. I always felt, that more than any other Seven, it is an A - A car not A - B via C, or anything, just take it out on your favourite roads for a couple of hours, thrash the hell out of it and put it back in the garage for another 4 weeks whilst you get over it. Are you clutchless gearchanging yet? The harder and quicker you go through the box, the smoother it is to drive, although in practice I found it was relatively restful to change gear at around 6 - 8 k revs, and even when accelerating hard would change at around 10 - 11 k. Has the electric reverser motor setup held up? I always felt it was a little delicate and the car would start going back wards at full speed so would need moderation. Do let me know how you are getting on with it and if there is anything I can help with, don't hesitate to ask. Paul.
  12. He hasn't filled the the tyres up with helium, instead of nitrogen again has he?
  13. Hi Nick, I've got a pair of Tillets I want to sell, complete with custom made leather seat pads. All in excellent condition, seat not too scratched, as I've always used the pads, but not that cheap either I'm afraid, at £950 for the pair incl. the pads. If interested, do BM me for some photos etc. They are probably going to be too big to box up and send, but obviously could be collected from me in Somerset. Paul.
  14. I know a number of people have installed the taller 2.3 Duratec into a standard chassis. Is there anything special to do or is it just a matter of offering the engine up and connecting all the bits? Obviously the correct engine wiring loom would need to be in place. Is there enough ground clearance on a standard chassis? Could it even replace a K series, Zetec or even a X/F?
  15. Hi Mark, I have a pristine Assembly Guide for a Roadsport 120 from around 2006, which I would be willing to sell if you are still looking. I guess a price of £45 would be about right, but feel free to offer more if I'm too low! BM me back if interested and I can send out a few photos to you. Paul.
  16. I have one for an SV Mo, any good, Paul
  17. Hi Roger, as it happens I have a pair of green cycle wings and no car presently. See the colour on the top left of this post. One has a small angle grinder cut on the leading edge of it, about 1" long, (don't ask), the other is perfect. I guess they must be worth about £40 or so, BM me if they are of interest and I can get some pictures off to you? Paul.
  18. I may be able to help Dan. I have a brand new (not reconditioned) and completely unused Ford diff. that came from Caterham with a CSR I built, but I used a 3.2 diff instead. Pricewise, I am open to offers, but feel it has to be worth at least £750 plus any carriage etc. Don't hesitate to BM me for pictures etc. Paul.
  19. Hi Richard, I think there must be something wrong with the setup on yours. I had an early 260 and later on, an earlyish 200 and both had light, direct steering. It would be worth going through the setup with a fine toothcomb or taking it to a Caterham setup expert. Paul
  20. How about a classic compact? I'm thinking of selling my 1988 Ford 1210 with front loader and detachable backhoe (excavator). It all works, doesn't smoke and should do the job for not a huge amount of money - say around £3500 for the lot? I'm in Taunton if you want to come and have a play. Paul.
  21. If you have an existing flywheel, why not take it a good machine shop and get them to take off some metal. I did this some years ago on a X/F and a Vx 16v and they both worked fine afterwards. There is always the chance that ,if not done properly, it could come apart at speed of course,......................
  22. Hi Richard, When I bought my CSR in 2005, the year they were first announced, CC didn't recommend the fitting of an LSD for road use, as with the better rear suspension and wider rear tyres, they felt there was enough grip, however I had been sprinting/hillclimbing for 10 years and there was a thought I might continue with the CSR, so I ordered it with a ZF plate diff. with modified ramp angles. In the end I didn't compete with it and used it solely on the road, but didn't find any downsides with the ZF lsd, nor incidentally did I notice any improvement either, other than when wanting the tailout for a bit of drift practice. I felt the advice of CC was correct, that there wasn't any point in fitting it for the road, but it could be very useful in competition.
  23. I've got a half hood with zip outs, but it is for an SV, I assume you want it for a standard car David?
  24. Oh Hans, how are you going to execute those handbrake turns with an electronic lever? On a more positive note, could you not use the standard VW electronic rear calipers, which I suspect will just be a bolt on fit when you take the original Golf calipers off? I hope you are keeping well, and glad to see you still have the CSR. Paul.
  25. This tubular primary exhaust manifold to fit a 2l. Zetec, came off an SV sized chassis, but could, I guess be modified to fit a standard chassis without too much trouble. It is made of mild steel, (not polished stainless note), but is in excellent condition. I only want £50 ono for it, plus P&P at that price, or collect from Taunton. BM me for pictures etc. Paul.
