  2. Does anyone have for sale any Oxted lumbar support inserts for leather SV seats ?
  3. Having had a number of Sevens over the years, I have always enjoyed light responsive steering. However my CSR has inordinately heavy steering which I have had to tolerate even having replaced the rack ( low ratio) and fitted an increased dia steering wheel. My CSR is an early model and a recent meeting with another member who had probably the last CSR did not consider his steering to be heavy and said he had read some article that alluded to later models having lighter steering. I can only imagine a change in set up geometry to be a possibility. Does anyone have any info on this, or suggest a viable solution ?
  4. Very high spec 420R SV in pearlescent white/black stripe, tillets, carbon front wings, 620 dashboard, 13" wheels, track-day friendly rear exhaust, led headlights. registered late 2017 but with less than 5K miles and approx 7 months of warranty remaining. A stunning unmarked car regrettably offered for sale only due to 24/7 working to combat the effects of covid on the business. This spec would cost well over 50K at todays prices. No interested purchaser will be disappointed in this 420R. It still looks new and is open to any inspection. If interested, send pm and your email address for contact details, photos etc.
  5. Hi James. Just had to find my way back to April of last year to look at your arrangement. And yes, virtually identical except I dont remember seeing your post - unless subliminally ! I too used 4 anti-roll bar mountings to get a base plate onto the chassis frame and then attached a titanium ramp plate which was formed in such a way as to spring-load itself against the front bottom edge of the sump. I note you used a wooden block behind the ramp. I went very high tech forming it from a high density polyethlene block which I pinched from my wife's yoga kit ! It has already taken a moderate hit from something, so has already paid for itself. Have you still got your CSR ?
  6. CSR Cosworth engines have a very low and vulnerable sump with its equally vulnerable dry sump oil scavenge pipes. From bitter experience I am aware of the huge cost that can arise from meeting a not-particularly large stone lying in the road, made even worse now that the cast alloy sumps are no longer available. I came up with a very similar idea for a sump guard to that which has already been aired on this forum, but because I believe it to be essential to CSR owners, I have made up a pack of templates and instructions for it. I am happy to make these available to those who undertake to make a suitable donation to our PCR charity. Please send me a pm with your address and mobile no
  7. I would like to chat with anyone who has fitted an lsd to a CSR in regard to any disadvantages for normal road use. eg. is it more prone to snap oversteer. a PM and contact number would be appreciated fo anyone prepared to discuss their experience. Thanks.
  8. Gordon, I already have Spa mirrors but agree about their flaw. I had not heard of the DPR conversion. Would you kindly post some details for both myself and other members. Thanks
  9. Thanks to Mark and Andrew for drawing attention to a potential rear damper lower attachment clevis weakness on the CSR. I guess all of us CSR owners will be checking regularly. While talking CSR rear suspension, has anyone any idea how the lower wishbone outer spherical bearing joint could be enclosed to protect it from road grit and premature wear ? I can't see how any rubber boot could be fitted.
  10. Soft Bits made some "bum cheeks" for my SV which has leather seats. These shaped black vinyl covered foam pad are velcro' d each side of the seat. Comfort plus lateral support. Jill might still have the patterns although they were never added to their standard range of products.
