  1. Oops, double posted, see below.
  2. I've got a set of Image 3 piece lightweight alloys, made up with the correct offset for a CSR fronts and rears. They are very slightly wider than standard, but still accept the standard tyre sizes. If interested, BM me with your email address and I'll be pleased to send you some pictures of them on a my old CSR, so you can see what they look like. Pricewise, a couple of hundred pounds per wheel, which is substantially less than the cost when new.
  3. Thanks for the links Guy. Wow around the £500 mark, I wish I'd bought more than one at the time, though I seem to remember the one I bought was around £250 back then. Maybe it's time to bung it onto Ebay?
  4. So, not inexpensive then.............................?
  5. Great 1st report Hanns Per and very interesting that you can really feel the difference in the corners. What spring rates, front and rear did you end up using? Keep those reports coming over the next few weeks / months.
  6. Now it's gone, do you mind if I hijack again? What are these boxed, unmade models fetching these days? Is it worth my hanging on to mine in the hope it will appreciate or is the best thing to move it on now?
  7. Have you thought about raising the whole engine James? If you use spacers under the engine mounts, maybe you will need longer bolts too, you can lift the engine half an inch or so, until it is just short of touching the bonnet by a mm or 2. The only real difficulty is the space around the exhaust and you might have to relieve the bodywork very slightly. After I raised my engine, I never had another bashing. Of course the 50 section tyres will do the same thing, but you can also gain a little more by raising the engine too.
  8. Sorry James, put it down to ano domini and a little stir crazyness! I hope you'll post a picture once you have it installed?
  9. James, could you manage without the magic word "Raceco"? I have what appears to be an identical silencer off my old CSR. It has very slight denting on the underside at the rear, from grounding at some stage, otherwise is in excellent condition. Obviously it can be taken apart for repacking etc in the normal way. I am after around £275 plus P&P. Let me have your email address and I'll whiz a couple of piccies over to you.
  10. Thanks for the advice. I'm guessing it is a ZF as that was what CC were using at the time, but how can one tell what the ramp bocks are?
  11. I have 3 diffs. which I am now prepared to sell if anyone is interested in one. The first is a used, approx. 17,000 miles 3.9 lsd as fitted to 2001 Academy Cars. This is not a remanufactured diff, but an original Ford unit. I believe it is a plate type, possibly with modified ramp angles, but not sure. However, I can guarantee it is quiet and with no problems. I am looking for around £895 ono. The second is brand new, unused and still boxed 3.6 open diff. Ideal to lower the final gearing of your Duratec car. Not remanufactured but an original Ford supplied unit. £750 ono The third one is a used, Ford supplied 3.38 open diff. bought s/h and never been in a Seven, but thought to be good. This ratio is getting quite rare now. I am quite happy to refund the purchase price if it turns out to be faulty. £575 ono Paul.
  12. Thanks for the post and leg up James. The coil cover and the pocketed tonneau are now sold. As mentioned, all prices are negotiable, so if you think there may be something of interest, but the price shown is unrealistic, don't hesitate to make me an offer, I can only say No, but I could also say OK.
  13. Hi Bigape, Let me have your email address and I'll be happy to PM you some pictures etc. It will also fit a standard SV as the dimensions are the same. I'm sorry to see it go, as it is such a good bit of kit, but it won't fit a standard S3 and I am unlikely to have another CSR or an SV. Paul.
  14. Image 3 piece alloys wheels with CSR offsets. Slightly wider than standard, but will still accept standard CSR tyre sizes. 2 Fronts and 2 rears available. £750. 1 pair of black wider rear wings to cover wider rear wheels above. £65 Omex 710 ECU with harness adaptor with custom 260 map installed. Fully programmable. Will plug straight into the Caterham loom with no modifications. Cost over £1200. £750 7" Silencers, one repackable. - £195. One standard 7" 'quiet'. Caterham unit. - £95 Front lower Aero CSR wishbone, believed left hand side. £50 'Powered by Cosworth' Duratec carbon coil cover £150 Carbon nosecone whiskers. Unused. £60 pair Propshaft off a CSR but possibly fit a Duratec SV too. Only done 7,000 miles. £95 3.38 Ford Diff. - not one of the noisy ones. These are very hard to find now. £650 3.6 Ford Diff unused, still boxed. Ford manufactured, not refurbished. £925 Half hood with double zip-outs and rear cover for parking. Would also fit an SV. £295 CSR/SV tonneau covers with and without headrest pockets £175 CSR/SV Sidescreens c/w armrests. £225 pair All prices are negotiable but please don't insult me with a ridiculously low offer. Thanks. Paul.
  15. Sorry, not your average Seven, but a very tidy 5 door shopping trolley or even to take the ankle biters to school or the vet. It is a 2015 1.4 petrol 5 door Kia Venga, 5 speed manual, with a genuine 15,000 miles on it, owned by my daughter from new and with over two and a half years of manufacturers full warranty left. It is exceptionally tidy throughout, with MoT of course, good tyres and perfect mechanicals. It is in white with black interior, an entertainment system (but no a/c at this price). Drives beautifully at 70 + and returns around 50mpg. What's not to like? I would keep it, but with several cars in the family already, cannot justify that. If anyone wants to view, I am just outside Taunton. Pricewise I am open to offers, but let's start negotiating around £6,750? BM me with an email address, if interested and I can send some photos etc. Paul.
  16. I've had no reply from the OP in Droitwich, so assume he is not interested. If anyone is after either a new unused clear aeroscreen (with 3 fixing brackets - I've now checked it) or a composite one with 3 SPA mirrors, don't hesitate to BM me. Prices are of course negotiable.
  17. I'm working on it - got the badge on the back that says "HYBRID" all I have to do now is to convince the DVLA. What could possibly go wrong?
  18. Hi BeingOriginal, If you are not interested in the screen I have, see post above, I have had interest from other people, so If I haven't heard anything in the next 24 hours I will let it go to someone else. I trust this is fair? Paul.
  19. A set of lightweight 3 piece Image alloy wheels for CSR offsets. All in good condition but with a little scraping on one rear. They are all about half an inch wider than standard rims, but will accept standard CSR tyre sizes. If interested BM me with your email address and I can get some pictures off to you, both on and off the car. Price around £750 for the 4 wheels, plus carriage. I also have a lightly used CSR/SV propshaft surplus to requirements, will fit a Type 9 gearbox and Ford diff. flange. £95 ono plus carriage.
  20. If you are still after a screen I've got a clear one and a composite black one with 3 mirrors fitted. The clear one is unused and I want £120 ono, but it has no fittings, but easy enough to make up, the composite screen is used and is the standard Caterham one with 3 mirrors fitted. Difficult to price, but does £295 sound too much? Otherwise make me an offer.
  21. I've got a spare screen with black frame, brand new, unused but no stanchions I'm afraid. I'm not sure what value to put on it, but as they are over £500 on CC website, how does £350 plus carriage sound? Don't be afraid to make an offer though.
  22. Offers? Always difficult. If you have £200 in mind, can I have first dibs, if you're thinking more along the lines of £400 - £500 I will let someone more desperate than me take the opportunity. Maybe a clue would be useful.
  23. Hi Keith, I hope you received my PM, but for anyone else interested in final drive ratios, I would comment that i had the 3.38 mated to a 2.3 260 bhp Cosworth Duratec on my CSR. I think for anything with less HP and torque it would be too long. The 3.62 would be perfect with the 6 speed box, and would certainly work with a 5 speed, especially if it had modified ratios for 1st and 2nd gears.
  24. I've got a spare completely unused Ford 3.62 available, still boxed. Not one of Caterhams recon. units, but a brand new Ford one supplied with my old CSR in 2005, but I used a 3.38 instead and have never done anything with this one, and unlikely to now, sadly. Price? I don't really know the value of these, but does £750 sound too much? They must be like rocking horse sh*t by now? BM me for any further info I can supply if interested. Paul.
