  1. Five wheels and tyres. 14"x 6" Minitor, silver, fitted with Avon ZV1 tyres. To fit de-dion car. These are new and have never been fitted to a car. £425. Edited by - mic on 3 May 2004 17:35:17 Edited by - mic on 7 May 2004 17:24:46 Edited by - mic on 7 May 2004 22:16:14
  2. The Duratec chassis uses the same engine mounts as the K series.

    Florescent paint

Townley Panel and Paint have just done my new car to a very high standard. Mick
  4. Mike You will be hard pushed to build a car like Jackals for £30,000.You should also remember that the chassis is not a standard type, it should have stonger diff mountings, different brake pipes etc all of which are buond to increase the cost. If I can be of any help give me a call. 07742755741 Mick
  5. Ammo I read sometime ago that the Duratec is changing to individual coils, not sure when or if it has already. Mick
  6. Neil This is because your loom has been run along the left of the car as it is a Duratec. You need to swap the wires going to the front indicators. Best way is to cut into the loom before the first light plug and cut the 2 green and white and the 2 green and red, then reconnect the gn/red to the gn/white.And the gn/white to the gn/red. Mick

    Accusump

The pressure should not drop when engine is switched off. You can pre- pressure the oil system before starting if I remember correctly. Mick
  8. Neil Cut and join the fuel pump cable. I would take the feed from the ignition switch not the red button. Mick
  9. Simon I think mountune tried both positions on the first Duratec they did. There were no major differences and I believe it made it easier to meet the SVA emissions with the injector closer to the valve. On the high BHP it will be more noticable. Mick
  10. Neil Unless your loom has already been modified there is no way it will connect with the Caterham loom. When I built Richards car there was a lot of extra wiring to do.The Raceline loom was a standard type loom with no Caterham connectors. Mick
  11. Its fitted to the calliper mouting bolts
  12. Simon Your engine may well have the early crankshaft bolt. If so it should be replaced with the latest type bolt and friction washers. The early engine suffered from the timing chain sprocket moving with expensive results. The latest bolt has a thick washer pre-fitted to it. Mick
  13. Ammo Those figures are in the same region as the out put my car showed when Jackal put it on the rollers. It had 200 at the wheels allowing for losses of 15%.The head had been mildly ported and matched to the t/bodies with different cams. Mick

I think the hole is in the left side for the FIA strut. Mick
  15. For oil to come out of the breather I can only think there must have been too much oil or some other problem. There is a lot room between the oil level and thetop baffle plate. Mick
  16. Phil If its a MK5 escort they suffer from fuse box faults. Water gets into them from the engine baulk head. Mick
  17. I was looking at an SV yesterday which has an Elite box. That has a sliding joint at the front of the prop. Mick
  18. Rich I'm sure you can't configure oil and water settings. You can set wheel circumference, fuel pressure warning and coil pick up. Mick
  19. I also have a carbon aeroscreen and scuttle for sale.-SOLD Mick Edited by - mic on 26 Sep 2003 09:18:26
  20. Was the car wide track before. Mick
  21. The Pace system works fine. The pump can be mounted either side, but might not clear the steering column if fitted that side. The mounting plate and scavange inlet pipes need modifying when fiited to a Caterham
  22. Masha On my SLR and my R500 I had a 3mm heat shield and had no starter problems at all. Mick
