  1. Dear Roger, what photos might they be? Jules blush.gif
  2. Keith, I'm sorry to say that Comma Girl (M******), does know what I look like which is probably why I got "the attachment" and not you (although the slippers definitely did have something to do with it!) I would also like to point out that, in the same way as you, some of my chatroom friends know what I look like; - you for one, Anna, Lord Wong, Chris Clark, Chairman & Mrs Roger Swift, Roger Green etc. etc. Jules teeth.gif
  3. Keith, if I wore "comfortable stylish footware" like you, I wouldn't get sent private attachments by Comma Girl! biggrin.gif Jules
  4. Nah, Keith wouldn't do that, - it's cheating. Anyway he doesn't need to, he sits in his slippers & smoking jacket and lets the hired help get on with it! Jules biggrin.gif
  5. Martin, talk to Jez Coates at Caterham for the full SP. It's not just the silencer, it's also the induction noise which is over 110db's. Buy a "Supertrapp" and wait for the new airbox from Caterham. Jules
  6. I lost the bolt in the offside rear Watts Linkage right on the Apex at Copse at Silverstone. The axle twisted, and at over 100mph I was very lucky to keep the car on the road. The solution was so simple, I just drilled and wired both bolts (though the nearside is probably unnecessary since it tightens with use)to the chassis. Cost;- a few pence. Since this happened I have been told by Hyperion & Arrowstar that they do this as a matter of course, for safety reasons. Jules thumbsdown.gif
  7. Keith, let me know when you get it then I can pester them. Jules
  8. BP took over Amoco and Arco some 18 months ago. Esso took over Mobil about the same time Total took over Fina (Belgian) and then Elf Acquitaine, 10 months ago. Jules
  9. Ian, I tried "Mr Sheen" and it's brilliant. Thank you. Jules
  10. Paul, If I were you I'd take it back to Caterham and tell them to do a proper job! Hyperion fiited mine and they not only ran the wire tidily, they also left a lot of spare in case I want to move the sensor to the other side of the rollover bar. Jules
  11. I'm sure some of you experienced &evernaers out there must have some tips as to how to keep the sidescreen windows clean and prevent the "milky" look developing. Advice appreciated. Jules.
  12. OK class, you've all heard what teacher said, now DO IT. Jules
  13. Wow, someone's living dangerously! Jules
  14. Chris the first sump went when taking Rosey (Wife/Comma girl) to the pub one Sunday. Hit a bump in the road between Wadhurst & Mark Cross. The second was a compression on the Bayham straight between Lamberhurst & Bells Yew Green (John Richens country). and currentlyt it's general wear mostly on roads. In fact I cannot remember any grounding on track days at all. In answer to you question I run the car exactly halfway between road and competition use as defined by Caterham. Jules
  15. Martin, I built my R500 and think it was the first one on the road (15th March 200). The build manual is complete crap and most of it has little relevance to the R500. The exceptions are most of the front suspension and the entire rear De Dion & axle build. Play it by ear but if you get stuck, either ring Caterham, or E.mail me direct (or John Richens who also built his), If I can I'd be pleased to help. I'm in Sussex by the way. Jules
  16. Since Comma Oil sponsors part of the Caterham racing series, I presume the entrants actually use it. In all the postings on types of oil I have never read anything about Comma oil. Does anybody have an opinion or any info that would be useful. Also, how does Comma compare in price? After all they've got to keep those classy expensive girls in outfits! Jules
  17. Dave, I'm definitely interested in one for my R500, - I'm about to have to buy my 3rd sump in 1500 miles (most of which is track miles) and at circa £500 a time I need something Stay in touch Jules
  18. Buy an R500, then you can do it anyway you want! unlike that Blackbird piece of crap! Jules
  19. I used Pierre's method and, if you have the patience, its magic. The secret is many small applications. Don't be afraid to allow the new paint to become slightly "proud" from the surroundind paint. Then, most important of all, leave for at least a week until the scratch fill has become hard, - then get to worek with a cutting compound, but very very slowly or you'll be back to square one. If done properly, you will not see the scratch at all. Jules
  20. I done a search to try and find the thread on motorcycle type tax disc holders and who makes them. I've totally failed! Anybody out there who can give me a phone number please. Jules
  21. Minty, I'm up for it, how much is approprate and what info do you need. Also, does the phone have to be switched on to achieve this amazing advert for our cars. Jules.
  22. Anna, I'm not sure that's a question you should be asking - unless of course you're doing a poll. Jules
