Andrew, I have a set of SLR rims fitted with brand new ACB10s medium compound (30/31s) Two wheels are 4 months old, two are 9 months old (met the armco at the 'Ring - don't ask !!) Would you be interested in them with the tyres ?

I like the idea of replacing my existing wing bolts with the nylon ones. Does anyone know if I can buy them from Halfords - or an online supplier or someone who does mailorder ? Also - do you still need to partly cut through the bolts to make them weak enough so they will definatley pop before the wing ? Thanks ! Paul R500 SPL

Managed a couple of 137 mph stints in my R500 using GPS for actual speed, speedo was showing 143

I've replaces 3 on my de-dion car within 12'000 miles they don't like getting oil on them

I need the middle black bit from a rear SLR rim as I've managed to mess up mine due to a loose wheel on a track day, so any bent SLR rim should do !!

My original lightweight starter on the R500 lasted about 3 months before it was replaced with another lightweight one - this lasted another 3 months before aheavier and more robust version was fitted. This lasted about 6 months but had to be replaced again. The fourth one, has started to perform the 'click' but no start after 2 months - simple enough thing to get right you might have thought... As for the part, I believe the new one is from the F3000s. Peter - I might be in the market for another new starter motor !

Simon Lambert at Caterham aftersales showed me a car that had been armofended - it was a very good job and only really noticable when you looked for it and then you could just about see the line where the armofend stopped. Caterham are offering this service (I'll be having it done once I get my rear wings painted - again). At the moment armofend come and do it, but the Caterham guys are going to be trained in fitting it. I've tried fitting it myself - once. Not easy getting a flat piece of plastic to shape around a wing. Paul R500 SPL

Don't know how much the Demon Tweeks one is, but I bought one from Jessops... www.Jessops.com Manfrotto Super Clamp £23.95 plus a Manfrotto Quick Release Adapter Plate at £23.95 for the fastening for the camera. Amazingly stable - same type as used to video Richard Ince around the 'Ring in April. Hope this helps

I find that the nuts are pretty crap. I have the set of R500 wheels that came with the car, and then a set of SLR rims with slicks. The SLR rims always go on very easily, but the R500 nuts are a real pig to get on. I've got plenty of the R500 nuts as they are very easy to make a mess of. Copper grease makes things a bit easier too.

I had to buy a super special thin socket to fit ! Bought it from Halfords.
