  3. I've had 400lb spring on the front of my seven for approx 10years as supplied by gary may many moons ago, these do go loose at full damper extension as mentioned in previous posts. Gary at the time said that the spring could be tie wrapped to the damper if concerned about the looseness but I've had no problems with this arrangement. 4. I have found the same problem with the aching shin but on a run I manage to rest my foot on the floor under the clutch peddle (1987 long cockpit live axle). FTD Moreton in Marsh, International 1994 membership No.86xx
  5. If you do not have an angled drive for the cable at the gearbox then this is the point at which the inner cable can break due to constant flexing. FTD Moreton in Marsh, International 1994 membership No.86xx
  6. My car's chassis is 1987 vintage and reads thus KLC****R, only eight digits. K = kit, LC = long cockpit and the R = right hand drive FTD Moreton in Marsh, International 1994 membership No.86xx Edited by - Jingers on 23 Jun 2004 22:11:55

  9. maybe some of you heavy weights should use some of the fuel Ferrari uses, Quote " Ferrari has made good use of the low-density (light weight) Shell fuel to stay out on track longer than the opposition with both drivers. This strategy worked for Ferrari in Imola and in Barcelona."(this from the Shell website) 😬 1987 Live axle, X/flow, 5-speed, full weather, heater, half tank of petrol = 540kg (on the works weigh bridge FTD Moreton in Marsh 1994 membership No.86xx Q500 HPW

  13. Grant, as far as I can remember there are two tapers used for the upper ball joint on the wishbones these were the original triumph upright (trunnion type) and the later upright. Other things to think about are aluminium blocks for the anti-roll bar instead of the inboard rubber ones originally fitted and plastic shims that can be fitted where the wishbone bolts go through the metalastic bushes. Gary may is the guy to talk to at Freestyle for the best advise IMO and parts should you need them. FTD Moreton in Marsh 1994 Q500 HPW
