  1. I sold a pair 2 or 3 months ago on e-bay , and got £153 - hope that helps. Mark.
  2. Darran, If it's anything like that knackered head you sold me for £75 - then it's probably worth about a fiver !.
  3. Need to remove my engine to upgrade - have about 1" forward movement on the engine (not enough to clear clutch) - the whole of the bottom of the car from (the passenger footwell backwards is clad) - obviously will have to remove engine and gearbox - any suggestions would be most welcome - I did this about 12 years ago on a Westfield (shame, sorry, head bowed) and it was easy - please help. Thanks.
  4. Can anyone advise the best way to remove the remains of the cylinder head gasket from the head - engine is crossflow. Thanks.
  5. I have a 1600 crossflow sprint, I think the battery has either "had it", or I have an electrical problem (can charge the battery, but after 24 hours it is completely flat). The battery is located under the carbs, any tips on an easy way to get the battery out. Want to relocate the battery on the passenger side, again, any tips would be welcome. Thanks.
  6. Rods will be Cosworth 5.23 inch - at this point I do not know the stroke of the crank fitted in my 1600 sprint engine, any ideas ?.
  7. Thanks guys, I work at Cosworth, so can get advise on chamber volumes/comp ratios etc - the pists I have are 85mm, I am led to belive that will give me 1760cc.
  8. Yes, the camshaft and valve springs will be changed - the target is to try and achieve around 140 HP, do not know whether this is achievable with a chambered head though.
  9. Currently have flat head, I know I will have to change the pistons - I have a set of Cosworth forged pistons for Lotus twin cam (8 valve) - have been told that I would be able to use these.
  10. I recently bought a big valve, semi chambered head (e-bay £10) I did not know whether I would use it, but having just cleaned it up, I am amazed at the quality of the porting/polishing work that has been done - this head has cost someone a lot of money to have worked, hence, I now want to use it to upgrade my current 1600 (AX bock) engine. Thoughts, past experience, would be very welcome - Roger King, are you out there ?. Many thanks Mark.
  11. can any advise the best place to get hold of a 4 into 1 exhaust for a crossflow engined car, and an idea of price . Thanks.
  12. Do the heads have valves, springs, rocker gear fitted, if you have any pics, could you send to me at maogram@yahoo.co.uk also, where abouts in Surrey are you, I have relatves in Banstead. Many thanks,
  13. Does the "bottom end" come with crank, rods, and pistons ?, are the heads flat or chambered ?. Thanks.
