  3. K series 1 Last week the water temp gauge started playing up, suddenly shot down to 0 then crept back up to the usual 80. Connections cleaned all OK (ha ha) it's now reading anything from 0 - 80 depending on it's mood. Sender problem do you think? 2 Spa dual oil temp/oil pressure gauge Driving quite briskly the oil warning light flashed at me, engine off pronto, heart attack time!! Looked around for leaks, broken belt (dry sump) - nothing. Switched the ignition on & the pressure reading was flashing "FL" - heart rate subsides! Start the engine & pressure immediately leaps to 55 psi. It is now working in sympathy with the water temp gauge - anything fro +70 to -40 with the occasional "FL". I also notice that the temperature starts at 42c when cold & never gets above 70! Any advice welcome. How do you get the dead flies off your teeth....... 😬 R5AAH

  20. Got home last night absolutely knrd after driving 500 odd miles to/from South Wales to get the 7 mapped properly by Dave Walker after replacing the 1.6 Supersport engine putting in 1.8 VHPD engine (head slightly ported by Rob Walker) & fitting an Emerald Got there 13:30 & left about 18:00 - 2 accidents & a breakdown in some road works = got home eventually at 23:30. ☹️ Throttle bodies balanced New spark plugs fitted Verniers checked - no adjustment needed as they were well set up by Rob Walker. Thanks Rob. 3 maps installed, all I have to do now is work out where to put the switch 1 = MOT 2 = cruising ,boozing, snoozing 3 = go like the clappers!! End result is 200.7 Bhp @ 8074 rpm & 146.1 lbft @ 5883 rpm, 😬 not only that, its also very drivable. Dog with with 2 tails syndrome & large grin driving home, 😬 😬 pity it's p'ing it down today so I can't go out & play. Oh, I'm now getting 25+MPG as opposed to 10 before the trip. Printout here.
