I've done the Academy in a Sigma, and sold the car a few years back as I wanted more power. Upgrading the Sigma at the time to 150, or even 200 PS looked very expensive relative. I was looking at R300, as I understand that R4 and above will not get TUV (German Registration) approval. I don't want to but local LHD, as I plan to return UK at some point.

Plan is to trailer it to Germany, then convert it to road-going use in Germany, were it needs TUV approval before being registered

A combination of European homologation and insurance reasons, I cannot have a Uk registered Caterham R4/500 here in Germany, where I am currently resident (expat). I am now considering purchasing a little-used RHD R300 (race car), then shipping over to Germany for use while I am here. So, no lights etc, Tillets, or weather equipment, etc Has anyone any experience in converting R300 race car to road use?

Seen on roundabout between alloa and bridge yesterday evening around 5pm. Looked like a R3 or R4, but I was unable to keep up in my black Focus.

Garage clearout. Alloy Purchased new from Caterham as a spare when doing the Academy, then shed with worn CR500. Alloy has never been used. May be useful for 2012 Academics (albeit with CR322) £75 plus postage or collect from Stirling (Scotland). Front wishbones (std, not wide track) Removed from my Metric Academy car when I replaced with wide track. Excellent condition, never involved in damage. Complete set of upper lower / LH RH £200 plus postage or collect. Again, may be useful spares for Academics.
