  1. Mike I am working away at the mo, so will not be able to measure this until 6pm ish tomorrow. I'll post here and send an email.
  2. Mike. No idea - by I am pretty sure that the spacing has been the same for a very long time. If you send me some measurements (and a description of what you measured) I'll have a look.
  3. Hi Gents, As people have started to bid on ebay I only think it fair to leave it there. At the moment the price looks pretty good (for a buyer!). Greg
  4. Hiya, I've put a set of wind deflectors and a pristine (might even be unused) dedion carpet set on ebay - but if someone from here wants to make a sensible offer then drop me a mail.
  5. ok. You will probably need to measure the Chamber to work out a decent Compression ratio. Also are you going to change the Cam and springs?
  6. You probably already have a flat head an pistons to suit - going to a chambered head would probably mean new pistons to keep the Compression ration up (as the chambered head has a larger "hole" than the non chambered head. What head does your car currently have?
  7. Oliver - I'd go for a 244 and 3D+race co early as possible. Agree with the forged pistons bit.
  8. I'd see how much Rob wants for his engine. Going from 100bhp to 180ish might be a supprise! Seriously I'd look at either getting an engine 2nd hand that has already been done, or going for something completly different as £2k will not get you that far on an Xfllow compared to what you can get for 2k. If you are really keen on your car and Xflows then fine. Or fit a Fireblade..... might cost a bit more than 2k but would be fab! 😳
  9. Hi All, Put some (large) 15" BRG Cycle Wings on ebay If someone wants them without going via ebay make me a reasonable offer via email.

    Best Seat

Hi All, I have an ex-race Xflow Supersprint, with dents and all. I do not plan on repairing the damage as I think it is all part of the patena(sp) and history of the car. Plus there is little point spending money on paint etc ... when it is ok as it is. If I wanted something plus and modern I'd save up for a superlight®, but then again my xflow is probably not much worse than those in the power or handling department. However I do need to go for a different seat, as I am too small for the benchseat (and I move arround allot), so what should I go for next: a) tillets - nice and light, but a bit modern for a 1990's car, and some do not like them, plus they are quite expensive. b) Leather - look ok, sound good, but I've found most not that comfortable. c) Custom Foam - great for me, not so good for others (other people rarely use or passenger in my car), light and cheap, and would look good in Alacantra or something. What do people think? Any ideas on a generic foam profile for the passenger side as other peoples foam seats can be really uncomfortable due to different arse profiles 😳
  12. Many thanks Geoff. It seems sensible to get them membership especialy as he owns a Porsche! 😬
  13. Hi All, Does the club allow other drivers to drive a members car at the above trackday? Thinking of inviting a mate. Ta.
  14. Er - bug alloy thing. here Bigger/better rads can be had, and old rad's do get clogged and crappy over the years. May just a newer/slightly better one - polo ones seem to be popular as you say. Coupled with a pressurised system, new stat and decent fan thing should be sorted.
  15. Do you have a pressurised system? IF not you might consider this 1st. I have a huge rad on mine, and would recommend this (I know it is expensive) as it "solves" the problem.
  16. Or what about a "valuation" this would mask any unbudgeted expenditure from the financial controlers....
  17. sorry missed that bit. Might need a new oil pressure gauge too. £250 is th cheapest i've seen 2nd hand. The caterham kit is allot more.
  18. They do sometimes split at the front - mine has been welded several times. Apart from that it's great!
  19. er. Pump Remote filter Oil cooler tank Sump Pipes to connect the lot. Cost around £250 or more depending on if you get the parts 2nd hand - Caterham do a kit which is probably the best bet for completeness but is a bit toya!
  20. For what its worth Roger King recommends fitting the oil cooler behind the water rad on Xflows fitted with them. Looking at the picture I'd get a nice fat race rad and either position the oil cooler behind it, or get a lamovila (sp)
  21. Fit an SV dedion and drive shafts. Oh and wider wings or a spacer
  22. well I am sure we must be quieter than top gear. Again well done! I miss the brooklands day, so am most chuffed! I only need to get my car back on the road!
  23. Bloddy hell Harry. Very well done!! Is there a noise limit? Any chance of any more places as I am sure this is going to be very popular?
  24. Ah, Kevin, good, did not want someone letting the side down... 😬
