  1. The extra-wide version setup is called 'Freestyle Supawide' to distinguish it from 'Freestyle Wide' And yes, it is spelt like that :O)
  2. Seems fair to me Paul, especially if that includes delivery ;O) I bought a new Quaife ATB unit back in 2015 and sent it to R&R for fitment. Phil at R&R charged me £480 (£400+VAT) to source and recon a Sierra casing for it and to set up the ATB in it, plus carriage back to me...
  3. £23.99 here, but you don't get the sidelight bulbs thrown in as with one of the other deals on here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOVSIGHT-50W-H4-10000LM-LED-Headlight-Bulb-Light-Hi-Lo-Beam-Conversion-Kit-UK/373226387488
  4. Love my Queef. Wouldn't change her for the 99% road use the car gets. She tells me where the back end is, what it's doing and if it's going anywhere. Filled her with Fuchs Titan Race SYN 5 75W-90 Fully Synthetic Gear Oil (was Silkolene SYN 5 75w-90) - 1 Litre. Silent in operation and more or less maintenace free, level checking aside.
  5. Mount it below the rollbar-horizontal with silicon bead and/or tie wraps and it will allow the half hood to fit with ease. This way will also stop having to obscure what little rear visibility we have backwards between the seats that some of the lower fixing options like the JAL solution can be prone to do IMHO.
  6. Bricol, not on the OP's padded carbon seats it doesn't

    Battery

Even though battery conditioners are better than constant battery chargers, I've still killed batteries on them. I've now bought a cheap £5 B&Q timer switch which I plug my Optimate 4 battery conditioner into, set so that it only gets power to check and maintain the battery for one hour a day, not 24.
  8. Annoying that Ian, as then you can;t naturally use the up or down volume button to take a photo a la traditional camera. You can still press the volumes but they're then bottom-left, not a la traditional camera. First-world problems eh? :O)
  9. Link this to a cheap PMR radio, lead and PushToTalk button & Lead and you're good to go http://www.starcom1.com/kitcar-handsfree-systems.html
  10. Nice looking bit of kit Mark. I have the same but made by young Carsten over in Germany. Looks great and feels good to the touch too. Top work that man! Wonder if I could find somewhere to use another one on the car... Dzus screwdriver holder maybe!
  11. James, Owain Davies from Caterham Cars built one too and it was apparently featured in the October 2008 issue of LowFlying. Some pics below and more details on it in a PDF on the link below. Giles https://www.dropbox.com/s/wvbt0z7shjo1gyn/IRS%20R500%20details.pdf IRS R500 details.pdf
  12. Nick, there was a big discussion thread running about it on Facebook a while back, if you can find that one
  13. I believe this advert needs to list a sale price
  14. J&J Radiators methinks... they've been doing rads for a million years now. Alan and Jo long gone, but Dave and sister keeping the business in the family
  15. Dur, I meant separate H7 dip and main bulbs, not parking and headlight. I joined the Peugeot 2008 Owners Group UK on Facebook too last night and had loads of similar suggestions. In the end a chap called Steve posted a pic of the box he'd bought as a spare It was similar to the one that Alastair posted above, except it's the 696 box not 694. Anyway, the long and short of it is that dad's just rung from Nuneaton Halfords and the girl who went out to the car park (small hands are such a bonus) has managed to get the top clipped in but only one of the bottom ones as she says it's larger than OEM. But it is in and held firmly apparently. Thanks all for your help. All hail the power of Blatchat and online forums eh :O)
  16. Thanks Jim, but as I said in the post I don't have the spare one as the garage refiitted it so there's too many it could be when looking online :O)
  17. Cheers Jim (and others), I can and will do the scrapyard route, but was trying the keyboard route initially in the hopes that someone would know of a code or definitive source. They are H7 by the way, not H4, as the parking lights and head lights are separate in the assembly Giles
  18. I for my sins was trying to help him, but both our hands (looking back now) are too big to allow sufficient movement in the hole in the inner wing by which you access the rear of the headlight. The clip on the N/S headlamp fell off completely as mentioned above and the one on the O/S unit came half off so I removed it fully for safe keeping. The dealership replaced that one then when dad took the car in to get it looked at. In retrospect, I wish I had photographed it, but I wouldn't really fancy removing the one good one again just to try and model a second from it. - Ian, he's in Wolvey (LE10) about 200 yards from my house -
  19. My 80-year old father was trying to change the side/parking light bulb on his Peugeot 2008 GT Line (2016) a few days ago. I for my sins was trying to help him, but both our hands (looking back now) are too big to allow sufficient movement in the hole in the inner wing by which you access the rear of the headlight. Once the rubber cover was removed from the back of the headlight in the engine bay, the electric supply was disconnected from the bulb holder and the small metal spring clip undone that holds the H7 bulb securely in place... Unfortunately, the clip detached fully from the headlamp assembly and headed south towards the floor to presumably be caught in some undertray, inside the wing or wherever... as it did not fall beneath the car. The bulb of course is not now held securely, even with the the rubber backing cap put back in place. The clip on the N/S headlamp fell off completely as mentioned above and the one on the O/S unit came half off so I removed it fully for safe keeping. The local Peugeot dealership refitted that one then when dad took the car in to get it looked at. In retrospect, I wish I had photographed it, but I wouldn't really fancy removing the one good one again just to try and model a second from it or even to try and use it to identify a similar model on eBay etc. I found lots of 'Peugeot' spring clip sets on the internet but (from a fleeting glimpse in the cold before it went into dad's pocket for safe keeping) I couldn't say which, if any of them, are the correct beasties. To try and sort the other side, the dealership checked with their own mechanics in case anyone had ever removed and kept one from a damaged headlamp unit, but no-one had. They then told my dad that there is apparently no part number for that little spring and so he would have to buy a complete brand new headlamp unit which costs £317. I've scanned the interweb and drawn a blank. Does anyone on here work for Peugeot that might be able to help please, or indeed, anyone who might find a part number for the little spring clip to hopefully debunk this ludicrous idea of having to buy a whole new headlamp assembly... or indeed even a second hand one?

  21. I had a 3.92 open diff. I bought a Quaife ATB diff brand new and sent it down to Phil at R&R. I asked if they could sort and refurb a Sierra casing so that I coudl keep the open one intact. They did exactly that and then installed the Quaife into it and sent it back by courier. We fitted it and I think it is quieter than the open one we took out. It's whisper quiet... so it can happen
  22. Just MHO, but I'm not sure this is an improvement or that it helps I'm afraid. The page appears as just a long list of items that are unclear as to whether they are 'For sale' or 'Wanted' unless someone happens to have started their post off with the relevant words.
