If you know you'll be coming along/eating, can you please let us know, so that we can reserve enough space in one part of the pub for the whole group. Might be the last outing for se7ens this year, depending on how the weather turns from here onwards . . . 2. Jonathan Car was out a week last Thursday (4 September) and was fine. No recent work on it. Don't think I left anything on, but I will check tonight. No multimeter Ian I haven't checked in the manual to see if has a battery drain warning buzzer, cos it really was buzzer like. It's just weird how it wasn't doing it when I first went into garage, but how it suddenly started making the nose minutes later. As for the battery, that terminal wasn't crusty on 4 September when I last drove her I'd cleaned the engine bay before going out and the battery was clean like a new pin, including both terminals
  3. - Open garage last night to get mower out to do back lawn. - Take mower outside, all is well. - Go into house to fetch something. - Return to back garden to mow and hear a mechanical buzzer type sound from garage. - Go into garage to discover that the noise is coming from the Maplins 4-input cigarette lighter charger on bulkhead under passenger side of dash. - Unplug Optimate3 cigarette charger type plug and buzzing stops - replace it and it starts again. - Car is dead as a dodo Car has been used faultlessly most weekends all summer, including 2 weeks around Europe in July . . . but now is completely dead - No immobiliser light, no click, nothing. Battery terminal is crusty (see picture) but was brand new and only fitted last year (see battery model) I am not a tecchie, so any ideas/suggestions most welcome. Thanks, Giles Edited by - gileshudson on 17 Sep 2014 10:59:09
  4. Quoting Barkalarr: I've just bought a pre-preg one from Caterham to the tune of about £300 and it doesn't fit!! It's the one with the ears at the bottom and the radius on the passenger side makes the dash bulge out when you try and fit it correctly - and it needs a boat load of trimming and fettleing It's going back tomorrow - not happy.com !! See this post about the amount of truimming required with carbon dashboards from Caterham If it's any encouragement, Guy's (Mavic82) dash looks awesome now it's trimmed and in place

  10. John, Sounds like you saw Kevin Jukes in his stunning new orange (with white stripe I think?) car, with the model in the reg number as you describe. He lives in Solihull, attended the Bear 7's meet last night for the first time and so would have been travelling cross country to Stockton via or near Knowle at just that time. 11. Cheers guys. Just contacted them and a very helpful chap called Nigel has said he'll send some in the post to me, after first establishing which type I needed as they've changed over the years. Very helpful
  12. I have adjustable Freestyle Avo shockers on my HPC and noticed that the locking grub screw is missing from one of the collars? Are these grub screws common purpose or bespoke to Avo?

  17. Toyo R1R tyres are available in 16" . . . I've just removed my 15" anthracites shod with Avon CR500 tyres to go back to my beloved 16" wheels now. Anyone looking for 15" wheels and tyres? I only dropped to 15" as I couldn't get super sticky in 15", but the Toyo R1R has cured all that. Beryl is back to her former HPC glory again 😬
  18. I guess as it isn't an SV, the owner had two choices . . . C7 MEN or S3 MEN
