  1. I have found this type the easiest to use. They do come in different sizes with different number of 'faces'! The first few times I resorted to a long hefty screwdriver punched through the filter (near the top!) to give better leverage etc - messy but effective! Good luck
  2. Sorry you have not had much of a response - I guess not many of us have any experience with the Drexler. I believe the Tracsport is a better product than the Titan for at least three reasons - the sintered plates are larger meaning they are less stressed under similar loads, there is a much greater area of contact between the pressure rings and the cross shaft making it more robust and the design does not fully compress the Belleville washers which means they retain their function. That is my laymans understanding and I am open to correction! Perhaps you could try and compare some of the above between the Drexler and the Tracsport. Good luck
  3. The immobiliser on my Sigma did fail several years ago - had an auto electrician diagnose it - the red LED was not doing what it normally did which prompted me to investigate this. From memory however the car would not turn over - completely dead so probably not the immobiliser! The other problem I had once which behave in a similar way to what you describe is a damaged wire to the crank sensor? Good luck

  5. Speak to Jeff at HWR in Newcastle?
  6. Hi Jeff Did you see the PM I sent you? I am in wimbledon so could meet somewhere if it comes to it!
  7. I have a 5 year old fully refurbished Titan LSD I was hoping to sell!! Not sure anyone is going to want it now!!
  8. Hi Jeff Potentially interested in a swap if your Tilletts are of the wider variety for an SV (the standard S3 Tillettes are to narrow for me) Let me know if things don't work out with Dan!
  9. Hi Rich What roll bar do you have? I think different bars have slightly different shaped hoods? I have a Soft Bits hood for and SV with a trackday roll bar if you are still looking! Garth
  10. I found my throttle cable was sticking because the sheath it runs in was being effected by the heat from the exhaust primaries - I bought a better cable and then wrapped it in a heatshield - no problems since. Obviously may not be this - but consider if everything else seems ok!
  11. I used 'The Wheel Specialist' a couple of years ago and was very happy with their work. I think it runs as a franchise, so quality could vary? The one I used was in Kingston - so too far away for you - perhaps there is a more local branch? Good luck
  12. Had my Rapfix for 10 years - stlll works perfectly - no hassle having to line it up and it is still as solid as a rock - not sure why people go for the CC version? Rapfix so much better in my view.
  13. Garth

    Sv full hood

I also have one in storage I would be happy to sell if SM25T's does not work out!
  14. You should find a huge improvement! Next will be the improved lens!
  15. Have a read through this thread from last year - I am very happy with my lens and LED bulb upgrade.
  16. Hi Jason Just realised that I mailed this response to the club website help address! Here is what I sent - repeats some of what has been said since your post - apologies..... My DIY headsets work very well in the 'cockpit' and even between cars if one stays close! They connect ok to my phone, but I could not get them to work with my satnav and/or the walkie talkies. Very poor instructions compared to the Sena stuff so difficult to know what they can actually do. But sound quality great. I got my TuffTalks in the UK a while ago - but have also heard that they are not readily available at the moment - although I am pretty sure Alan Reeves had a price from ‘brillbikebitz’ on ebay recently - they are too expensive for what they are though, so I suspect they do not sell well for that reason!? PTT is on the side of the TuffTalk headset if you plug the walkie talkie into the headset. I have not used them like this as I use the Sena SR10 unit which is bluetooth and has its own PTT button and an extension - I fix mine to the handbrake - you still have to take your hand off the steering wheel though! Only used mine with a screen so cannot comment on aero! Going to do a bit of research on Zello to try and understand how that works. Good luck. Garth
  17. Most welcome mr Reeves!! Look forward to seeing what you come up with Doug. If it is as good as your lights we will be in for a treat!
  18. RapFix QR every time - mine 10 years old - and absolutely zero 'play'!
  19. Great - please you have a solution - have a look at Westfield Fasteners if you need some additional or new M5 bolts! They have a good range with different head sizes etc.
  20. I will have it Deets - always wanted a manbag! Will PM you for details... Cheers Garth
  21. Hi Andrew. Just fitted my aero for the first time and it was just the standard poppers that came with my original build - I used some no 6 by 1/2 screws (I think that is about 3.5 by 13 in metric speak!) and they worked fine! Are the studs you have the same size as those on your windscreen etc?
  22. Thanks Stu - will look into it at some point! The other one to look at is Zello which I was very kindly reminded of...!
  23. Another for the Sena TuffTalk. Have them and a Sena SR10 for the PMR. Can listen to music, follow satnav (best from phone - myRoute App), take phone calls, use as intercom with passenger and talk to other cars via PMR all with bluetooth and no cables connected to the headset - much easier to live with than headsets with cables plugged in!? Has anyone come across an App for the smartphone which works like a PMR but uses the mobile network? I am sure I read something about this last year but cannot remember where! Be interested to explore that more.
  24. Saw that Brooklands and was tempted but already had the aero - been sitting on a shelf for 5 years!!
