  1. Had mine done at the same time as Richard The flat spots seem to have gone and I no longer have to hold the revs on the throttle on cold startup. Idles at 900 where as before it was struggling at 700ish. Agree with Richard there does seem to be a little more of a hair throttle in stop start traffic but I'm happy to come to terms with this if it means I don't have to heel and toe a junctions for the first 5 mins of any blat. PS radiator died on the way to dartford (second one) impressed that rad was changed whilst there and expansion cap replaced just in case and the bonnet cleaned FOC in about an hour including the ecu flash. *thumbup*Caterham aftersales
  2. Hi Richard no problems getting home thanks. Enjoyed the drive home. It made me think I should join up with the Solent Sevens and go for a Sunday morning blat sometime.
  3. Mine failed at the crimp between the top plastic header and the ali core which then leaked coolant onto the fan and sprayed coolant through the louvers so it was only raining on the drivers side? Replaced under warranty.
  4. Hi Ivan, The cold start was never a problem until the last few weeks. It used to be that I could the car without actually being in the car so I could let it warm up a little whilst closing the garage dopor etc. Now it immediately dies after firing unless I catch it immediately with a little throttle to hold the idle at about 1k. Within a couple of mins it's fine no lumps or bumps or stalling at junctions. I'm hoping the remap will cure it along with the flat sopt.
  5. Still having a cold start problem which appears to be different to yours but things have moved on a bit. I tried to do a reset as per the advice given to me but no joy. So went for a blat anyway only to lose the front passenger wing on way home 😔 OOO don't they fly when they let go at speed 😳 Anyway decided to book in at Dartford for service new wing (both to be bolted down)and ECU update early Dec. Be interesting to see what it's like after the update as I always felt there was a slight flat spot at about 3.5k revs. Anyone else noticed this on a Sigma 150 or just me?
  6. Cheers Mick thought there would be a way. I'll give it a try tomorrow am before an early morning blat.
  7. On cold start the idle just isn't enough to stop a stall. Fine after a couple of hundred yards. Everything else is fine but it needs a little accelerator on cold starting. Is it just a case of adjusting the idle screw or more involved fettling. Warning - if it's more than adjusting the idle screw please try to use words of one syllable.
  8. Use the advanced search on the online store and type 1144 in they are on there £46.41 https://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4353&osCsid=97bf3d06d8aa19df8664124a993fb88e links thing playing up The ones you found are for the uprated brakes i think
  9. I agree it's a good idea but I also like the mix of topics. You could do something similar to this uk climbing. Users can then view either all topics or if they wish just select that practicular forum. Just a thought
  10. Using braile there didn't appear to be anything loose but didn't think there would be if the button works without hesitation on the restart. But then I'm carp with car electrics. Time for an up and under fiddle in the dark 😳 😳 😬 😬
  11. Haven't got out for a couple of weeks so decided to jump in for the run to work. Ignition on, dash comes alive, fuel pump primes, press the big red fun button.........nothing Couple more stabs and nothing. Turn the key and all fires up as normal. Kill the engine, repeat and button works first time. Fill up on the commute jump back in and prees the button and no joy again but works fine off the key. Kill the engibe again and button works fine. Any ideas out there?
  12. Dark grey heading north on A326 just before Goodies roundabout. Nice day for it
  13. You were stopped ahead of me just at the start of the High Street and then followed me to the roundabout where you went up the hill toward Wichester. I went round roundabout twice to have a second look I was in grey avensis diesel tin top (possibly the most boring car in the world) flashing you like an idiot 😳 Nice day for it
