  1. Just north of Corhampton today around 3 o'clock. Caught you as I went round the corner and just managed to get a wave in. I was in the blue SV with white stripes, feeling chilly, but warm inside 😬 Rich
  2. There was me thinking that they had started to charge people for test drives... Rich
  3. Not wanting to sound ignorant but what costs £40? As for the 150 sigma, I've got one of the very early 07 plate ones and although they have been tinkering with the engine each time it's paid a visit to them I have enjoyed my ownership thoughout. It's kind of like an incentive scheme run by Caterham that each time it comes in for a service you get a better car back. Rich
  4. Fired mine up yesterday morning and had it idling for a minute or so while I closed the garage door and got comfy. Seemed fairly steady just below 1000 rpm, also noted that it appeared to start more easily than normal? Perhaps because it hadn't been left to sulk too long in the garage since I had last used it..
  5. Got mine flashed over the weekend and must say found that at motorway speed it was a lot smoother, non of that hesitation you get sometimes at 3,500 rpm. Need to give it a proper work out though to check it out, but initial impressions are that the idle is slightly up, needle just below the 1,000 rpm line, was nearer to 850 beforehand and also that there it doesn't seem quite as settled in slow moving traffic. I found that when crawling in slow moving traffic there was a lot more jerkyness? not quite sure how to explain it. Anyway I suppose more reason to take it back out again to try and get a better impression of it's handling.
  6. OK so one of them was mine, but it was a great drive back south again afterwards. Hope you managed to find your way from Storrington on to the New Forest, didn't realise you were low on juice...
  7. Like Brian I had my throttle bodies swaped over in the early months trying to solve engine gremlins. IIRC James said they were ones ment for the 2lt engine and were being trialed on the 1.6. Anyway they solved the sticky throttle but other issues remained. Just spoke to James re ECU update and he asked me to bring it in. He said they can do the ECU by post, but there is a calibration which needs to be performed afterwards, of which he sent me details. I'll probably book it in though, he said they should be able to do it on a Sat morning. Rich
  8. Has anyone been offered to do this ecu upgrade diy style? I had the 7 in for a service at cc south at the beginning of June and James G said that a new version was due in a weeks time and that they would be sending a plug out in the post to be used temp while the ecu was sent back to CC for flashing and then returned with the latest on it (well that was my understanding anyway). Haven't heard anything since. Have you all been asked to come in for the ecu upgrade or something you've requested? Rich
  9. I only picked my new SV up a couple of months ago and that has the spare on the back (optional extra of course..). Can't say though if it was fitted when the car had the SVA test, similar to how the fixed wing mirrors are removed after the test before you pick the car up.

2 hours to get back as far as Caterham and 3 hours and 45 mins to get to Pompey. That pesky A25, won't be trying that one next time the M25 is stationary. It got a little hot and I'm showing the signs of being in the sun for so long... Can you see the glow from the Portsmouth direction..... Rich
  11. That'd be great, spedo was a little dark, everything seemed to be dominated by the bright orange washer and wiper buttons... Rich
  12. Only had my car a couple of weeks and found myself driving home in the dark last night and was a little intrigued as to which instrument/controls lit up when the lights were on. Can anyone tell me which are supposed to light up? I found all dials lit except the Rev counter, the screen wash and wipers were also lit up. Cheers for any advice. Rich
