I just can't help feeling that there is a huge margin put onto throttle bodies for what they are.... is there any reason why they are cast and not plastic moulded, they don't have to deal with heat there function seems simple.... unrestricted air flow direct to head, throttle mechanism, horns and filter..... or am I over simplifying things... force of habit!!!!!   3. I am starting to think about what throttle bodies I will put onto the K4 head I picked up from the MG auction.... a few questions... (basically trying to reduce the cost) 1) Why are bike throttle bodies so much cheaper and are any suitable for the K-series? 2) Is there any real competition to Jenvey/QED direct to heads? 3) Has anyone come up with the adapter for the new one piece cosworth roller barrel set up into the K-series, as discussed in previous threads...? (Ok not really reducing cost on this one ) It just amazes me how expensive throttle bodies are when they seem mechanically quite basic...... I guess it must be a volume thing....     Sugino An amazing example stunned I am, I hope this car comes to the UK so that we can all get a closer look at it...... Rear suspension is in CSR territory, I am still totally taken aback by this car......   12. Dave F - the spec of the engine is a standard 1.8 Xpower 140bhp, which actually came in at a bit under 140bhp when first run at Emerald..... The best way of describing the change was as though the engine had just eaten a whole stack of airwaves...... I state again... get powerspeed to fit it, they do a really really tidy job on the hole cutting..... David GF04RCE.... every day is a Caterham day!!!! He heee!!... pictures here. Take the opportunity to jump to a powerspeed 4-2-1, you'll get 10% increase in torque and they will cut a wonderful stylish new hole for you...... there is talk of a bulk buy going on at the moment.....   16. Highly Recommended..... very happy with mine from the last bulk buy... Did a before and after rolling road run at Emerald, clear 10% increase in Torque and 4bhp increase, the plots look great against each other..... IMPORTANT: its well worth getting Dave to fit the exhaust, they do a fantastic job of cutting out the hole a really neat job..... David GF04RCE.... every day is a Caterham day!!!! Hi, I have standard adjustable blistiens and have just moved back from 13inch to 15inch CR500 (it was a winter tyre and money thing) anyway I think I need to adjust the ride height as I imagine when Caterham fitted my 13inch wheels they would have adjusted them as the fronts have a lower profile than the rears. What is the standard method of measuring ride height, and is adjustment as simple as turning the collars on the blistiens eg. two turns on each side...... just need to know how they work as I have not adjusted them before and don't want to do anything stupid......   19. 4-2-1 exhaust gave me a clear 10% increase in torque and an additional 5bhp. From a standard 140bhp 1.8 Xpower measured on the Emerald rolling road (138bhp actual) as measured when car was standard, to a second emerald run after a power speed 4-2-1 exhaust was fitted. I have a lovely graph with the two runs plotted and the whole line is shifted up showing a nice 10% increase in torque along the length of the curve....... very happy.... the best way I can describe it is as though the car has been fed multiple packets of airwaves.... Dave also made up a 4 into 1 converter attached to my old silencer for future mot tests..... David GF04RCE.... every day is a Caterham day!!!! He heee!!... pictures here.   23. Hi Rossybee, my preference is to keep it as straight forward as possible..... so if you could find someone that wanted the tyres and it made up to the asking price, it could be possible.... David
  24. Be careful, the advance planning function is a pain in the 🙆🏻 you can plan point to point in advance but if you are at point A and you want to plan a future trip between point B to C to D it can't do it without starting you at point A (your current GPS location).... David
