  1. Personally - I wouldn't worry. First year/ few seasons the biggest improvement will come from you, the driver. After that then see how you feel and what your budget is. Not everyone is anywhere near the power limits in class 2 or 3 - mine is probably just scraping 140bhp without the issues it's had/ got and I've still had a relatively successful season. So I guess to provide my feedback - there are certain circuits that do favour power and put you at a disadvantage. However you soon learn which these are and can avoid - Gurston and Aintree are two for starters. If you can 'really' push your car to the limit then you'll more than make up for power deficit. You also don't need to be a skinny racing snake... (cue sarcasm from all) and no need for that expensive suspension or flat flooring if you are comfortable with what you have - however - both of these along with reduction in weight and more power make it much easier! So, try it, surprise yourself and see where you are... if you are down on speed trap or sector times one of us will no doubt pore over your video or data/ sector times and highlight what you can do to improve.
  2. Classic Carbon did/ were supplying to Sevens and Classics at Brands Hatch - may be worth a call to check they are still handling the orders for them or trying them directly to see if/ how they are supplying.. I can vouch for the quality of their work having bought direct when Classic Carbon were selling direct from their website.
  3. The petrol stations with the Greggs you mean.... Used to be really nice, but the toilets absolutely stink! (Its on my regular route from Anglesey down to our HQ in Abergavenny) A personal favourite road of mine is the B4518 from Ryayader to Llanidloes, then continue on this road all the way to Llanbrynmair. On the way home after a long meeting it's a gorgeous piece of road to enjoy through the mountains and normally fairly clear! Once in snowdonia - most routes you choose will be spectacular as long as you're happy so divert off the main roads. Personally - avoid Blaenau FFestiniog - beautiful around it but the greyest place in the world due to the slate mines and generally wet climate.
  4. On his way to Wiscombe
  5. Thanks Graham.... I know which run was better to watch though and it wasn't my dull looking run! Your car control was fantastic to watch, I'd argue more lairy than Mr Williams even!!!
  6. ? What are you trying to find Roger? It won't show up on DVLA as Simon has put his own plate on the car
  7. my in car footage from the final run of the day. Dash went blank in the assembly area too.
  8. Ok, perhaps different for us tyre warmers. the one @11;14 this morning did as did the follow up one this afternoon
  9. It did actually tell you that on the email..
  10. Richard - I don't have 'surplus' as I've kept mine since changing / trying watts linkage and am yet to conclude which is better - however you are welcome to borrow them if that helps? Can bring along to Prescott if you let me know by tomorrow night.
  11. New drivers briefing is 0840 at the circuit..
  12. I seem to recall having read the final instructions there was a drivers meeting for those who haven't competed at the circuit.. you could just read the `finals' David?
  13. Personally - I prefer the route up to Abergavenny, Builth Wells, Rhyader then up to llanidloes and across the mountains to Llanbrynmair, there are then two routes up to Dolgellau. The best bit of my weekly journey home from Abergaveeny is then the run through / under Snowdon turning off the A487 at the Oakeley Arms onto the B4410. This brings you into the back of Caernarfon. If taking my time to enjoy the drive - rarely - I'll then head north @ Beddgelert up to the Pan Y Pass to Llanberis. If 'making progress' in the tin top it's about 3h 20min from Abergavenny to Anglesey however I wouldn't recommend that as the scenery is stunning.
  14. Shame, the extra run on warm tyres would really be a great benefit there Justin
  15. You not playing at Pembrey?
  16. To be fair, I'd personally get someone to give you a baseline set up. You can then refine it to suit your particular style. It sounds like you are a million mikes from where you want the car to be. camber- on circuit I'd be expecting 2-2.5 degrees but as stated, this isn't hard and fast and doesn't suit everyone so also don't always listen to the crowd. Of concern is your dampers, they shouldn't really be sitting on the bump stops. Norton's when set up are bloody lovely ( and out of my meagre race budget). What year us the car, is it wide/ narrow track.. do you know anything about the dampers etc.. Simon could probably tell you in 10 seconds whether they are the right ones for your car- ie open/ closed length which varies certainly pre and post 96 as well as between normal and sidetrack. Not sure if post 96 anti-time dive are any different in length to metric those on metric chassis cars. However, if wrong they would make the car bloody awful. This would be my start point..deduce they are the correct length first before you move forward on anything else. Anti-roll bars- the norm is red and soft / disconnected at the rear. I personally prefer the green bar but for some reason that just suits my driving style and setup. Your tyres look fine! In fact given you said you got understeer I'm surprised they haven't 'blued' on the outer edge, always a good sign you've been trying hard when that appears..
  17. Graham You have mail, however just in case you haven't received, I've had to withdraw from the BMMC and L7Club sprint this weekend due to this morning having tested positive for Covid 19. regards Dan
  18. its not though is it? These come with the clear lenses which when comparing to standard are £9.99 a side more from new. So being a pedant - there's a saving of £19.96..
  19. Jon swap the buckle from the crotch strap to one of the waist straps. It's fairly simple, well it is for all of the buckles I've ever used.

Apolgies - Just checked and I cannot find it, must have gone when we moved. If there's anything else needs bringing let me know or if you need a garage to work on it - I''m less than 20min from the circuit.
