John..well I've competed there many times and I didn't know the names of the corners. I think spectators probably take more notice of the corner names than competitors to be honest.

  10. Tony, as you and many others are aware, I like the comaraderie and the wind up! My new ZZS are like Phil's, 2018 or 2019 vintage! The advantage comes from the carbon chassis and extensive liposuction on the driver hopefully car is nearly done, just wiring the dash and configuring the sensors which to put it bluntly is bloody time consuming and frustrating for a technical imbecile like myself
  11. Pete. I have used a V2 helmet for a few years and can recommend those also as a quality budget helmet. ZAMP and Koden also off good value alternatives to the usual suspects. Personally I always preferred Simpson Helmets to the Bell and Arai which I felt didn't feel as comfortable in use. The budget alternatives have a very good quality shell, I'd say the main difference is the quality of padding in the helmet which isn't as plush. However the impact absorbing foam core is still there and of a similar thickness,
  12. it's factual.... given the low percentage of original parts supplied by Caterham in 1993 that have been replaced... and it's still a shed.... just a prettier one
  13. Wanted- rear anti roll bar for s3 Caterham. Chassis fitment on the lower chassis rail if anyone has one laying around? dan
  14. I've used the excellent wiring diagram from here for EU2 cars to rebuild much of my EU1 loom. Much of it is relevant to the EU1 cars also. I've marked some differences, minor colour changes and the pinouts for the ECU which I'll share once I'm complete. The dash loom of mine is still in bits and I'll also update this with the relevant fuses and wiring colours which differ very slightly. However, thanks for producing this. It has been invaluable.A week spend as my wife put it, sat at my market stall under my e-zup outside the garage working through and rebuilding the loom front to back was made so much easier- even though I hate electrics. My fingers and thumb still bear the scabs and painful cuts from operating a Stanley blade...
  15. Chris. You still have my full support as compsec Whatever else has gone on. the championship is in a much healthier state than for many years. I won't be around much this year as I can't see how I will have time to complete my car until later in the year. however if I can help then I shall as for David, he's old and rusty, I wouldn't be concerned
  16. Chris. if there’s space i’ll Take a spot. If not, i’ll be under the gazebo. My own fault for being somewhat tardy and indecisive on entering.
  17. My runs are as below.. A frustrating day - however a well deserved victory by Richard, a great run by Rob and a welcome return to Jeff Smith! I tried hard, a little too hard at times, however my efforts are here: I think i borrowed Tom Price's tyres for the final run, they did seem to let go fairly violently.. Thanks to all who organised the event! as usual a fantastic event, a great Saturday evening catching up with fellow competitors and getting the usual ribbing! Thoughts also to Mike Sankey following his excursion! hope you're not too sore dad!
  18. 1b front and 1a rear would be hilarious..
  19. Phil Managed a 63.65s run, Richard I think was 63.88 ish? Myself Rob andf Justin were all 64.3 ish
  20. It was and will remain a truly great run Phil and a truly well deserved victory whatever occurred following the run. However - Coaching for Tony will now be issued with a non-disclosure agreement! I look forward to Curborough where we now expect more of the same!
