  1. Thanks Sam. I'll check that tomorrow when its light and report back. Think I need to take the nose off to get better access for a thorough look.
  2. Afternoon everyone, I have a 2005 CSR200 which has developed a creak on the front drivers side suspension. I've narrowed it down to the drivers side and somewhere around the rocker assembly. I can't narrow it down any further from there as the sound is "travelling" if that makes sense. Are there any known failure points that I should look at first? And is it good practice to replace in pairs as per a tin top? Thanks, Peter
  3. Thanks Steve. I'll use the same method but with some Loctite 5990 which from all accounts is the same stuff.
  4. SteveS3, what was your application process for the permatex? Did you glob it up and connect the collector? Or wait for it to go off a bit first? Only reason I'm asking as I currently have my exhaust off so I can wrap the primaries on my CSR (hot tootsies problem and melting cables), and the collector on mine has always been a thought as it has no clamps or springs, plus the car runs rich aswell.
  5. Back in my younger days a couple of friends took to knocking the gubbins out of theirs cats for "performance gains". I doubt it will weigh much more than the decat pipe after its knocked out.
  6. Take a look at the JAL website. I've got a set on my CSR and they are brilliant.
  7. I've found Isopropyl Alcohol (99%) useful when removing glue residues. Depending on what surface the glue is on of course. Leave it to soak if possible and continue with elbow grease. Disclaimer:- I haven't had to use it on 30+ year old glue but its worth a shot.
  8. Thanks for the additional replies gents. It has indeed been fixed. Turns out it was the side repeater bulb at fault. Being a fairly new relationship with the car I'm not familiar with its "quirks" yet. I'm sure that will come with time and various questions asked on here (after using the search function of course).
  9. Thanks for the reply John. A wiring diagram would be useful to have in any event thanks. The front and rear indicators are led ones from JAL and I have to confess it turned out to be the aide repeater bulb had blown (filament type). I wasn't expecting the whole side to stop workong though, I was expecting it to flash faster as normal, but I suppose because of the led ones and associated relay it just cuts the circuit for them instead.
  10. Morning everyone, Long time lurker first time poster. I inherited a 2005 CSR 200 from my late father and unfortunately after a year of ownership someone reversed into me at a set of lights. The car was repaired at Caterham Gatwick and only took it out for its first drive last weekend but the right hand indicator isn't working, well, sometimes it will and sometimes it wont. Ive checked the hazard switch and the side repeater doesn't work but the front light does. But I've got nothing at all when using the stalk. Left indicator works without a problem using the stalk and/or the hazard switch. Any ideas?
