  1. My offside reversing light is not illuminating. I have 11.80 volts at the wires which attach to the bulbholder. The bulb works when swopped to the nearside. The bulbholder works when swopped to the nearside. What am I missing? It's driving me insane!
  2. Both on retention certificates, so nothing more to pay. £500 each. C8 CEE J222 RRY Please send me a private message if interested.
  3. I have 185/60x13 R888s all round and never have them above 16 psi cold. Was same when I used A048Rs and A032Rs, sometimes with 205/60x13s on the back. And, actually, on the original 205/45x16s.
  4. I was hoping to avoid that!
  5. But is the fan an integral part of the heater or separate? I've not seen one out of the car so have no idea of the structure of it.
  6. My car is a 1994 1400SS, so the heater is not the old flat one nor the newer 7-embossed one. The fan blades are making a noise, how and where do I get access to see what's going on? Thanks. Jerry
  7. We drove past in L7SVN.
  8. We were in the tintop stuck in a grockle queue going the other way.
  9. My understanding has always been that the top mount has a slight comfort bias, the lower a slight handling bias. Forget it and proceed with your build.
  10. Neither the uneven idle (just uneven, it is not 'hunting' as we used to call it), nor the rich idle mixture result are new, I think it has always been like that. I was just prompted by the tester this time to think that maybe a rich idle is bad for the engine? Bore wash? Why wouldn't CC set the idle better if it has always been like this, and if it is like other 7s, how do post-98 cars pass the MOT?
  11. Hi Dave, -Uneven idle -Yes. All other tests were easily in the green on their instrument, the idle solidly in the red. Would have failed MOT if wasn't 'visible smoke only'. -Yes
  12. Thanks guys. Not really clear on the EU2/EU3 stuff just assumed that as one of the earliest 1400-engined 7s it would be earliest engine spec as it is standard. Definitely has one, had to take it out and refit when doing some other job I can't remember. I'll try to sort out a photo today.
  13. Thanks Revilla, Anyone got a part number for a lambda sensor for a 1994 1400SS? All the ones on CC are EU3 or later. As well as being absurd prices...
  14. Although my old 1994 1400 Supersport is 'visible smoke only' at MOT, I wonder if I can adjust the idle mixture which is too rich and would be a fail if on a later car. All the other MOT emission requirements are passed, the car is standard. Is there any provision to adjust? In days gone by I would have twiddled a little screw on the side of a carb...
  15. I just called out RAC Auto Windscreens. Laminated, kite marked, fitted with original rubbers.
  16. Thank you, Shaun. I just wish this forum would work as easily as all the other ones I've ever been on.
  17. Thanks Jonathan, that's one sorted. Stupid but believable.
  18. Commenting to receive notifications.
  19. 1) When I make a new post there is no option to subscribe to it, I have to view it on the forum, comment on my own post, and then I get the option. 2) After posting, if I go to New and Updated there is no sign of my post. It shows in my profile and I can see it if i go to the individual forum it was posted in. I am not actually sure that I have ever seen my own posts in N and U.
  20. To check a problem Please ignore
  21. Thank you Shaun, now OK for me too.
  22. Interested if Revilla doesn't take them. Please let me have details as sent to him. Thanks.
