  1. I can't see a single damper listed as pre-96 on this page: Home›Caterham Series 3 › Handling › Front Suspension › De-Dion 1990 > › Imperial › Dampers
  2. Can anyone take a look at Caterham's damper or spring/damper pages and tell me which is correct for the front of a 1994 1400 Supersport? Car is absolutely OEM, so no widetrack etc at that age. Thanks. Jerry
  3. Not heard back from Jack, so still looking.
  4. Long term 7 ownership has taught me that if you want to stay on the road you should always have a spare screen and a spare sump. The two most common breakables......they've never got either of them.
  5. Really only need two front dampers but will consider anything up to full kit. Must be low mileage, no leaks, etc.
  6. Thanks Mark. I'll take them please. Have emailed you. Jerry
  7. Mark, Are they Cibie or Wipac? Can you email me some pics showing condition (including that of the reflector)? Jerry 7jerry@gmail.com

  9. As title. We were in wife's MX-5.
  10. These are the bits: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=2555 http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=3515 http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=3094 http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=20 http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=447
  11. Anyone have an orange front ARB set they upgraded from? Narrow track, to fit 1994 1440 K.

  13. This tyre is supposedly available in 185/60x13, in soft C70, medium C50, and hard C30 compounds. I'm looking to replace R888s SG and GG because the SG is no longer available, want softer front than rear, don't want to go back to A048 and don't want any size other than 185/60x13. Experiences?
  14. Fingers crossed, I've done a couple of blats and it seems to be OK. I cleaned and lubed the stepper motor thing, cleaned the electrical contacts, and cleaned inside the TB. One of these things has done the trick (famous last words - got a 130 mile cross-Devon round trip tomorrow so we'll see). Thanks guys.
  15. Thanks again. On mine access to this looks easy. It is the little post shown here under the idle adjustment screw?
  16. Thanks for that. Which bit in this pic do I undo to clean it? Edited by - Dartmoor7 on 15 Jun 2014 14:19:01
  17. All mechanical operating elements are fine.
  18. As title, car initially fine but at some point in my regular 35 mile blat the idle starts to stick at 2000 rpm. Bear in mind that my car is an early 1.4 SS and was fitted from new with the alloy, forward-facing throttle body. The throttle pot or whatever it is on the side of the TB has JZX 2963 marked on it. Any ideas? Reset already tried.
  19. A friend with a 1996 Seven has a problem: "My mechanic is struggling to replace rear live axle bearing as he cannot get the hub off! He's damaged his extract tool does anyone have the correct one that could be borrowed?" If anyone can help, he is in Dawlish in Devon, his name is Brian (ex-Devon AR) his email is dawlishseven@yahoo.co.uk and his mobile is 07956034941. Many thanks.
