  1. Ha! I wondered who that was! So how did you enjoy your first event?
  2. Ashes is quite a long bend I think and I was positioned a good 100 yards uphill from the bend, so it does kind of give the impression of everyone running wide, as I am really catching exit lines...
  3. Well done you lot! Attached are photos from final practice Sunday and all of the first timed run. There are a few odds and sods from later on, but I was cooked by then (I don't do hot weather and boy was it hot!).... might also be a few Westies in here... BM me for copies if required, note these have had just a bulk tweak, copies sent out will be individually tweaked and cropped appropriately. Thanks for the entertainment! Photos here

I was at work, but my wife went up to old town Swindon to see it through - the weather obviously helped but it was a real 'carnival' atmosphere, very upbeat, lots of happy smiley faces and she did comment that she didn't hear any swearing (that is unusual in Swindon!!)
  5. puncture free and lightweight.....
  6. the camera never lies..... there were plenty of different lines...
  7. Pics from today - only had time to do a 'bulk tweak' so not perfect, and none cropped appropriately yet - if you want a decent copy, BM me. Thanks one and all for a great days entertainment! Phote here Chris

    Battery blues

silly question time - What do you top them up with, distilled water like of old? or is there something different / better to use?
  21. I use Belgom Alu on mine too - the bumpf says: Belgom Alu cleans and protects. It is a very fine metal polish suitable for aluminium and its alloys, brass, copper, nickel and chrome. Where Belgom Alu differs from other metal polishes is that it contains a waxed additive that protects and seals the polished metal for several weeks. Use Belgom Alu for a shine that lasts weeks and weeks It does seem to work quite well, although I'm no expert on these things!

    1995 Classic SE

just curious as I'm not an ebayer, but how come the last 3 bids were all for the same amount, i.e. the same as the winning bid? Thanks
  23. great spot! - wonder how many more have been caught on camera like this?
  24. Hi Dave - The 40mph bit does ruin that road, I remember it from my last holiday in the area a few years back and it's a fun section with the crests and dips - I think the speed limit is there because of the motorcyclists... we have my son Adam to thank for catching your reg - he quickly scribbled it down so we wouldn't forget! I have to admit to being envious - good weather and cracking roads and scenery - I managed to get the focus airbourne a couple of times 😬 not sure what I'd have done in the 7 . The wave back was much appreciated
  25. Had a holiday in the dales last week (half term, and in the tintop ☹️ ) Only saw 1 seven - flashed my lights and got a wave K7LYT (I think) - yellow aero, 1.10pm Wed 26th October, on a lovely road approaching the Ribblehead Viaduct 😬
