  1. Then you had better speak to me. My car will be running this year in the sprint champs with full semi auto. It runs paddle shift but by adjusting the maps and gear functions and settings other than selecting 1sr gear on the start I won't touch the paddles or clutch again until after the finish! All on MBE ECU also - but tnot the standard Caterham one.
  2. Try contacting Jason at Helliier performance I think they were his kits.

Gripper also works well. Made in Coventry
  4. First dibs placed. I will update tomorrow.
  5. My Own Race Keeper HE kit with additional bespoke mounting tray made by Race Keeper. Over £1500.00 of kit for an amazing £799.00. Like new, it includes 2 cameras, GPS and all leads including mic. Uses SD card data and has the facility for CAN input along with other analogue sensors. Very much Plug and play to use. Fully waterproof. Comparo software is free and continually updated for free. £799.00 Edited by - Nolimits on 21 Jan 2014 17:11:36
  6. Just bought a new PC680 as i just have a feeling the existing one (10 seasons old and realistically for the last 6 has done no more than 200 miles/year and loads of start ups). Its run flat quite a few times and i have simply recharged to bring it back to life. Never ever on an optimizer. I now disconect over the winter thats all. Batteries have a number of cycles they are good for and an optimizer just uses them up in my opinion. Which may or may not be correct. Check out Michael Calverts article in LF from approx 2 years ago. By the way the Red top batteries of various manufacturers are refered to by many as gell type. As MC's article describes -they are not. They are sealed lead acid with some glass matting between the plates so that they can lie down.
  7. Check out Low Flying about a year to 18mths ago (perhaps longer) Michael Calvert did an article on all the different types of battery. The Odyssey and Powervamp are not Gel type - they are a hybrid.

No. Thats why I stepped away. You can only do the Q reg and new IVA route. Then the values do not stack up.
  9. Oh bother - Stuart had to much beer on Tuesday night and TM brain washed him! Strongly disagree. Each type of car - power to weight ratio has different characteristics and by definition a different record. Do Ferrari's have to compete with our records also even though they have a gazillion BHP. You have actually already answered your own question statement above by stating that power is not the be all and end all. I'll be going next door with a cricket bat in a moment!!!

I looked at an SV Cat B earlier in the week. Certainly a new chassis job. It was Cat B and although legally there is nothing preventing it being returned to the road with the original reg if the chassis was repaired not replaced or as Q reg with new chassis and IVA as described above I did some maths and decided against it. Would be a great car if a keeper and you know the complete story. Just didn't add up for a sale item.
  11. Hang on Don't panic everyone I still have the special bag of cement we used to ensure Danny carried around whilst competing 😬

I agree - he should be excluded 😬 Back dated a couple of years also. I think you will find I have a lot of support for this action
  13. Well don't bloody drive it at 30 and 60 mph 😔
  14. Not sorted yet Rob. The difficulty was the low numbers who said yes to attending when I asked earlier in the year - around 20 no. So I had little buying power in the Christmas stakes! So my plan - well it will be Matthew's plan after this weekend 😬 is a Saturday Lunch followed by the awards - much like Gaydon but on a Saturday. Then an evening disco and a few bottles to follow for those who want to stay. It means those who can only attend the awards and not the evening can do so. Simon
