  1. That alu plate is only about 1mm thick, so I definitely need the alu and the plywood in the forward section (and that's what I had before, I'm pretty sure).
  2. Ah, boot divider...that makes sense. Although it says 2007 onwards, and mine is a 2004 car. Wonder if there was any real difference?
  3. I am trying to put together the boot floor into a repaired chassis. I have an aluminium plate (like this one). Does this sit on top of or below a plywood floor? I don't have a plywood floor. Is this the right one? How is the aluminium attached to the plywood, and how is the combo affixed to the aluminium turrets either end?
  4. As per title, must be GRP, not Carbon/Kevlar.
  5. I think they share the fuse with the fuel pump, although I guess that isn't the issue here!
  6. Very little for a rear basket. There are no suspension critical points so it's pretty easy.
  7. Thanks Steve - they seem very cheap! Do you have a record of the part number just to check?
  8. Heat and a big hammer got it out. But the upright is bent.
  9. I have a load of econoseal connectors if you need any.
  10. Need an imperial upright (think it is LHS but will check).
  11. Minister used those blue MSA seals to seal their engines.
  12. Bugger, I didn't have the nut on the end of the upright properly and now I've damaged the thread a bit. Is it 1/2" UNF? Charles
  13. ABWT10. You could try and get them out of those wishbones you don't need?
  14. At this point I'm trying to get the upright off the wishbone, rather than the bearing out of the wishbone. Thanks Roger, will speak to you about borrowing it.
  15. Both my lower wishbone bearings need replacing but one of them has the upright is stuck in it. Everything is off the car but I cannot get them apart. Tried a ball joint splitter, both fork and lever type. Lever type sort of gets hold but off line so not very effective. Fork type has too narrow a slow to go over the bearing. Also tried smacking it with a hammer Any suggestions, or is it going to be scrap?
  16. I thought it was time to refurb the whole thing, and I fancied getting it painted anyway so it would be a lot less work with new panels.
  17. Accumulated race damage basically. The front has a 8mm twist in it which makes rake/corner weighting impossible to get right. Then this season I got hit from behind hard and required a Land Rover to get the car out for the race. There are lots of other knocks etc from a 12 year old race car. Rather than get a long front and rear basket and a repanel, decided just to refurbish the whole thing and get it painted. Charles
  18. Didn't take as long as I expected (building it up when I get it back will!) but it's all stripped and ready to go back to Arch to be refurbished. I only had to cut one wire and one brake line, everything else came apart ok. Of course, I found a load of things that need fixing when it goes back together!
  19. Hi Adrian, Thanks, engine is currently being rebuilt. If we come up short of anything, I'll give you a call. Charles
  20. If you are able to pop round one day, I can take a look and advise....
