  1. Hey Mark, Yes, it was great meeting you and John, honestly. Pity we could not share more time together. I saw John in the mirror when I was in the queue to go out to the track, it was the last time I had the chance to see you guys, unfortunately. The thing is that the issue I had the day before on my way there, the throttle link and pedal sensor issue, reproduced again and again. I had it happening already in the first lap and opted to go out of the track. Then it happened again on the road, just like the day before. So the rest of the Friday was about getting the car towed and return to Switzerland. Anyhow, not the greatest track day I've ever had for obvious reasons, but at least left the will to come back again and remove the bitter taste left. And maybe combine it this time with Bilsterberg too, based on what you guys told me and how much fun you had. Hope to meet you soon and have more time with you guys, in and out of the track. And for sure I will pay attention to any other trip you organize, as I will try to join when possible.
  2. Just a bit more than two weeks to go and we'll meet in the Ring. I was in Cheste (Valencia) this last weekend and got the track day season started for me. I can't wait to see you in Germany and have fun in the Green Hell. See you there soon.
  3. It is a great plan and I'd love to join you. But unfortunately I have not enough days to do so. I was about to drive it last year but I had the same issue: lack of time. Then it is the fact that Bilsterberg is almost 4 hrs away from the ring, so it was a bit too much to do in the time I had available. So I'll have to stick to the Ring only and meet you there, hoping to join you in Bilsterberg next time. Have fun!
  4. I'm in! Booking now the DN event for 5th May. So hopefully I will see you this time, not like last year when we couldn't meet.
  5. That's a great initiative. I'm in. I was in the DN track day the same day as you, and agree, the driving standards were great, very respectful and quite safe. However only your Caterham and mine where there, so I fully support initiatives like these to have more cars alike in the Ring. It's true that DN "does not accept novices but just experienced track day drivers", which helps on the driving standards side, but limits those who want to have the first experience in the Ring. Anyhow I have nothing but positives to say about Darren and their operation. The other great option is RSR, who as well provides tuition. I'd say they are the "masters" of the Ring in terms of organizing events, providing tuition and even rentals. Maybe I am biased because I know them and use their services in the Ring and Spa, but in any case it is another option to consider in case the dates offered by DN doe not work. And both organizers get along well and support each other. So yes, count on me for this (hopefully the dates will work) and will be happy to drive from Switzerland as I usually do. Thank you very much again for the initiative.

  7. We plugged the OBD generic scan tool to the car, and it showed "Error P500 - failure in the Vehicle Speed Sensor". The speedometer does not work nor the km counter. We deleted the error but after a short drive it appeared again. And then is when the engine noise changes and does not go beyond 4.000 rpm. Remember the 485 has two engine maps to choose from the dashboard (sport button). In any of them the engine is allowed to go beyond 4.000 rpm Yes, the car has cat fitted (I bought it last May) Good suggestion to check a Ford dealer... Thanks a lot
  8. Perfect, I'll check out the right rear wheel. Thank you so much
  9. Hi all Does anyone know where the is the speed sensor located in a 485R (Duratec 237). It is not working and the ECU of the engine is in emergency mode, not allowing any more than 4.000 rpm I'm very far from a Caterham technical service, and in 3 weeks I have a track day in Portimao. Hope I can sort this out Thank you very much in advance for your support.
