  1. From the picture below you can see my challenge, one good fan, one good motor but I need to make a bush to make a usable unit. So, before doing that, has anyone got a complete unit or a fan that might fit my good motor, which has a spline shaft onto which is pressed the fan, which has a plastic hub? If not successful, I'll consider a more modern fan. Located in Rugby. Thanks in advance
  2. The cage is sound with no damage and it fitted a 1989 de-dion perfectly but may need a re-paint as it's a bit tatty. Located in Rugby £300
  3. Does anyone have a single usable Avon Turbo Speed CR28 185/60 13 tyre for track day use? I've just scrapped a damaged one of my set of 4.
  4. Good Morning John Sounds like an intermittent fault with the steering sensor. The sensor is used for both stability control and transmission calibration. Usually if there's a fault on one of the input sensors the transmission defaults to manual. Good luck
  5. I'm interested in the following if they can be posted - pm sent Assorted X Flow gaskets Steering column covers (Ali) - scuttle/footwell and footwell exit. 1 Grommet Tatty boot cover, probably from FIA roll bar. Bag of assorted jets. All push in not screw in, from a Weber carburettor?
  6. Thanks Rog. No need to dash over the channel though. I'm sorted with a set in Hinckley. PaulAlexander1963 (a great year by the way!), I've let Stephen Brook know that you have a set and he may be in touch. Thanks everyone
  7. I'm in Rugby and I may have a lead for a pair in Hinckley. However, I've received a Caterham Marketplace Facebook post from Stephen Brook in Devon who's also looking for a set. So with a bit of luck, both of us can get sorted out.
  8. Wanted - Flared arch stays, mines' have rusted through! FOUND, Thanks everyone
  9. I read in another post that a spherical plain bearing is desirable in lieu of a rubber bush in the damper lower mounting. It may avoid side load on the damper if the mounting axes are misaligned. Has anyone got experience of this, and if so what have they used (part number) and from where did they source it? Many thanks in advance
  10. Thanks for the info Ed I'm open to an FIA or track day bar in any condition either Imperial or metric.
  11. I'll take those if you're able to hold onto them until travel restrictions are eased.
  12. Many thanks for the link Ian which confirms what the very knowledgeable chap in Caterham parts told me, I always like to get a few data points in that absence of hard evidence! I can now widen my search for a track day roll bar. And a gold star for Caterham Parts
  13. I'm seeking collective knowledge / experience on the following: I've been told that it's possible to fit a post 1990 DeDion S3 metric FIA rollover bar to a post 1990 DeDion S3 Imperial car. The only difference is in the boss at the base of the main roll hoop, a metric bar has a metric fixing AND is less deep because the recess in the chassis is less deep to allow space for a standard fixing that clears the top mount of the damper. The two bars that attach to the fixings in the boot are in the same position as the imperial car but the ID of the fixing will be to suit a metric fixing. If this is correct, them washer shim(s) under the rollbar boss and a change of fasteners should allow me to fit a metric bar to my imperial chassis. This all sounds logical, can anyone confirm this?
  14. Wanted - the large 90 degree rubber hose that connects the fuel filler cap to the fuel tank. Many thanks in advance FOUND
  15. Wanted - rear light unit. I only need the base unit that holds the light bulbs and has the angled rubber base. I don't need the lens. Thanks in advance FOUND
  16. Robert I've sent a message re gearbox parts. Cheers, Brian
  17. Looking for a Track Day Roll Bar for a dedion - imperial. FOUND I have a roll cage for the same car that is tatty and it is the one with a single diagonal across the top. I'm pretty certain that this is the tall version. I'm unsure of the make but it does have a tatty sticker with a serial number and I can't identify the manufacturer. I could do an exchange or sell seperately when I get a roll bar. I'm based in Rugby.
  18. Chris - I've sent you a PM Cheers, Brian
  19. As per the title, would anyone have a complete system languishing in their garage waiting to make them a little bit of cash?
  20. Alan I had the same problem and I brought the back forward by about 75mm. Lower edge is held forward with aluminium angle brackets and a simple piece of timber covered with vinyl at the top edge. The big bonus is that you then have a reasonably useful stowage area behind the seat. If you're interested, you can pop over and try it and I'll maintain a safe distance, but it's pretty easy to mock up until you get the right position for yourself. Cheers Brian
