  1. http://youtu.be/zKGOCOAI_2c. Surely Supertramp?
  2. Dove off he M25 due to a tailback and headed cross country to Bray via Tring, Wendover, Maidenhead. Passed a lovely green Morgan, H19 BRG, and tooted as I passed, he passed me and drove in convoy, friendly wave taaa taa! Filled up in Aston Clinton as I was on fumes and pulled up next to John in a lovely blue metallic k series. Nice to chat and admire your car. Lovely day to take the long route anywhere....
  3. I wonder if one of those back ache frame type cushions might work? Could even be covered to make a slim pad, that if need be could be stored behind the seat? The type I had in mind are those lumber support jobbers, but a quick search for those came up with this at Halfords, which doesn't look too bad... http://www.halfords.com/motoring-travel/car-accessories/car-seat-covers-cushions/halfords-padded-seat-cushion-back-support I would imagine getting some memory foam shaped to suit your driver, then perhaps trimmed/covered could give you a great looking custom without looking like a stop gad cushion...?
  4. Ooops, can't correct title, but have updated text. Yes, rearward vision is fab. I didn't need to shim the mirror either. And no wobbles. update... Worked out how to edit title!
  5. After reading Sm5t thread about fitting car builder solutions mirrors (search archive 'Sm25t Mirrors') I've fitted the same to go with the little Perspex sides screens I got from EBay. As I drive in London a fair bit the buffeting at 40mph is sometimes but a dream... Sm25ts tips and Blatchat Mail really helped me (I've added some build pics to the original thread. ) Anyway, happy with the look, a bit of modern to go with the retro vibe I wanted. And the bonus is with the door mirrors now removed the doors fold easily into the boot.
  6. But... Are the overall performance figures improved with the undertray, or negated by the weight?
  7. Car Builder Solutions do them. If you place an order ask for the catalogue, ideal bedtime reading! http://carbuildersolutions.com
  8. In my wad of bills that came with my Cat, June 2001 Due to Zero stock at Caterham Cars we have fitted a used screen. Nothings changed...
  9. I have rubber mats in my footwells and have laid to strips of skateboard grip tape or similar onto the floor and this stops them sliding around. Great tip! I sell skateboards and have tons of grip tape.... And I didn't think of using it ! Doh!
  10. Panic over. Problem solved. Wiring issue.
  11. Does any have, or can take, a picture of the fuse box from a circa 1996 Crossflow? I'd like to compare with my own, just having an issue with relays and want to make sure I have in right positions.
  12. A higher number doesn't mean 'stronger'. The higher numbers may mean they are actually more brittle in usage. For example in skateboarding we use American Grade 8 bolts as kingpins, over the years I've seen a few higher graded number used, even titanium, but the grade 8s have a small amount of flex, allowing them to withstand shocks better. The higher grades tend to snap. Obviously in something more safety critical like a car it's worth double checking what grade you should use, but assuming higher numbers or more fancy materials will be better in use than perhaps bog standard bolts might be a mistake.
  13. I don't suppose anyone has any tips for beam deflector positioning on 7" Cibie lenses, to prepare for a jaunt on the continent?
  14. It may be nothing, but the dates look odd as it seems to show 'O' s (letter Os) and '0' s (zeros) mixed up, which presumably a computer generated printout would not do. It may just be the picture.
  15. My Cat has an override switch on the dash. I think that's useful, might be an idea if your doing wiring work soon.
  16. Schoolboy error. Jack was in neat bag under the tonneau, tucked in the boot. Doh!
  17. ok, so I've got a spare wheel, but no jack. Any suggestions on make and size?, Also where to store. Quite happy to put in boot, but any other clever places?
  18. Has anyone got any suggestion for some kind of locking device for the spare wheel?
  19. Trouble is 'sharing an opportunity' soon becomes a ton of companies flogging all manner of stuff. Personally I prefer not to see trade gear in a general forum users sales section. A 'trade' sale section might work? It would sort the wheat from the chaff.
  20. Can I order two red, one black tool bag please? P clips of interest too.... I take it you'd need 2 per canister ?
