  1. Smokin Joe: Would that make you a cujun scouser, or southern fried hagus? No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side. Red Super Sprint De Dion Soon!
  2. Cleaning the are of any oil is a fine idea, as the dif oil breaks down the rubber bush. Washing up liquid would be the perfect lube as it may even prevent desolving the bush for at least 2 or 3 puddles
  3. Rupert: What is your asking price, and your location??
  4. Hello Brian: Has the car sold? I have yet to hear from Brent, off on hols myself for a few days. Cheers! Michael
  5. Silly question, 😳 Is it possible to remove just the engine, leaving the gear box in place??? The car is an x-flow 5 speed. Cheers! Michael
  6. What is required to swap out a four speeder for a five? I know some of the cars have a linkage to the gear box, though my 1997 Sprint had a type 9 five speed and the lever was posiitioned correctly without. Did Caterham go to universal frame at some point with the live axle cars that would avoid tunnel mods etc, or do they all require a major refit. Thanks for any input you can provide to the poor colonials Caterhamless again ☹️ but on the hunt!
  7. Please keep us updated on the progress. In Michigan we have fewer regulations, and I had little trouble registering my Seven. Cheers! Michael No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side.
  8. This is why you should not let just any w---er work on your Seven! 😳
  9. I don't need the car, just the paper. Any of you chaps got an old one.
  10. Paul Thanks for the lovely pics. The logistics are rough, but I will get in touch if I can come have a look. Thanks Michael
  11. Doodoo: I do not know if this motor is in the UK market, but would suspect it will find its way into a Caterham soon provided, this model of the Zetec is adaptable. Otherwise giving your current Zetec a head transplant sounds interesting. Cheers! Michael Anyone got a SuperSprint for sale?
  12. Is your car for sale, or will it be toward the end of the season? Sounds very nice. Please email if you decide sell. Cheers! Michael
  13. Is your car still for sale? Cheers! Michael
  14. Is your car still for sale?? Can you send pics? Where is the car, relative to London. Cheers! Michael
  15. Is your car a K series? Is it still for sale?
  16. Brian: Can you web pics? Cheers! Michael
  17. Brent is right the Zetec is pretty much identical on both sides of the pond. I would think if you are really going to flog it upgrading the bolts would be cheap insurance. Simply instal whilst bolting on that beautiful Raceline sump. Cheers! Michael No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side.wink.gif
  18. Magnus: I am over in Michigan running a Ford X-flow on carbs. What fule system are you using, Stock Ford injection??? If so what is the projected horse power with more agressive cam. Which cam, what parts source. I am pondering the Zetec..... Cheers! Michael No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side.wink.gif
  19. Go directly to Race Line. They are quite helpful, and their sump is the dog's danglies. They are not cheap, but the end product is worth your quid. While you are there ask to see the latest naughty bits for Caterham/Zetec instal. Cheers! Michael No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side.wink.gif
  20. Typical feeling while building, Bugger Bugger Bugger BUGGER!!!!! (off to the pub for a break) Feeling while driving, smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
  21. Check the posts from a week or two back and I think you will find a thread on oil for the X-flow which contains some good info. I believe Mobil make a full synth they call Mobil One Motorsport in the 0w50 or 5w50 range. Cheers! No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side.wink.gif
  22. Pete: Other than the gear box problems, how do you like the zetec conversion? Is it worth all the trouble and expense? I know you had a very nice X-flow which John Bigler exported to the U.S. (sorry about the complications) and should have a grasp of the pro/con of this project. Cheers! Michael P.S. Your engine has a good home with John and I expect to see it on the road soon.
  23. Then I will give my wife back her mesh stockingstongue.gif
  24. Coose: We can all aspire to greater (faster, louder...tongue.gif) things. I still love my car the way it is. Not to say I won't change it, perhaps starting this weekend with some Mobil 1.....! Cheers! God I miss the pubs in England sad.gif
