  1. The standard light set up, as Stu describes, is not very prominent and easy to miss, meaning that you might leave the indicator flashing. On both my cars I have fitted a much larger and brighter flasher light to the far right of the panel. Admittedly it means drilling into the dash, but is is not a very difficult operation, and I feel a lot more comfortable having it there.
  2. Tazio, I’m leaning towards the R888rs as well ( on 14”). What is the general view on the correct pressures?
  3. Tim, Apologies for a bit of a highjack, but I am just finding my way around my '99 K series. At least now I know what the charcoal cannister is for! So a couple of questions if I may. What are the benefits / downsides of removing it, and How often should it be renewed / replaced, and how can you tell? Thanks Terry
  4. Stephen, I like the idea of the longer SV doors. I think I will be paying a visit to my S3 colleagues!
  5. It is really the gap between the head rest ( rear lughole!) and the rear edge of the window. I think it is just part of driving a Seven - otherwise use the tin top! I just need to persuade the boss!
  6. SWMBO has always complained about the wind whipping around the side screens (s3) Having read the piece by Alan Clark in the latest edition of LF, I was wondering if anyone has any experience of screens and their effectiveness.
  7. The bulb holder on the rear case of my speedo has been broken off. I could lash it up, but if anyone has an old speedo rear case lying around, I would be interested.

  10. Within a couple of hours of contacting Sevens and Classics I had an e mail from Andy Noble readily accepting responsibility, and offering to replace the battery. No argument, just excellent customer service. Well done S&C!

  12. Right, I jump started it from the tin top and it ran immediately. It also restarted under its own steam about 5 minutes later. Lets see what the morning brings, but I think a call to Sevens and Classics is in order, followed by a new battery. I have used Powervamp gel batteries in the past, so might go down that route again. Thanks for all the help!

  14. Garybee, Just rechecked. 12.5 at rest, below 3 while trying to crank.
  15. Hi SMT25! The battery is properly filled, and it has been on a conditioner for four days, apparently charging correctly. My main charger is u/s but I will try to borrow one and give it a go. Although the battery is giving out 12.5 at rest, what would you expect to see whilst cranking ( or trying to)?
  16. I am getting 12.6 at rest on the battery, the solenoid clicks and the voltage drops to about 2.5, but it does not crank. Terry
  17. Not yet. The terminals are all clean and tight. I am getting 12.5 volts across the battery but the engine will not crank. Haven't tried hitting it yet. I might try to jump start it later. Terry

  19. First time I have tried to start it since it arrived and it won’t. Just what I suspect to be the K Series klick! Battery is fully charged and the solenoid seems to be clicking but nothing more. Is there a quick fix to get it started? Thanks Terry
  20. Just taken delivery of my new car, so I am looking for an owners manual. Does anyone have a a spare hard copy, or a digital copy which they could ping to me please? Many thanks Terry
