  1. I could be interested in this if it will fit an HPC with 4 into 1 collector. Will need to check dimensions first though. Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  2. Any opinions on the pro and cons of rubber vs metal tyre valves? Anybody used the flush mounting type as can be seen here? Cheers Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset

    Parada Tyres

Jimbo, I have these on the front of my car on 16" wheels (205/45/R16) and have no real complaints. Look good as well. If I remember correctly they were not too expensive. I bought them 4 years ago after speaking to Yokohama UK and asking for a recommendation for a suitable tyre for a Caterham as the A032 and 048s were not available in a 16" size. 4. As the title says I am looking for some cycle wing stays for 13" wings. Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  5. Wheels are 6" front and 8" rear (Caterham 8 spokes) and I was thinking of going for the Toyo R888s. From what you say Paul, soft fronts and medium rears would seem to the combination to go for. Thanks for your help . Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  6. Having now got some 13" wheels which allow tyres of different compounds am I correct in thinking that soft compound on the front and medium on the rear is a suitable combination for road use? Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  7. Shaun, Can I have first dibs on these please subject to seeing them. Will Blatmail you. Thanks Seven Goes Mad in Dorset

  18. Anthony, Sorry to hear about you current situation. Just in case you do decide to split I have a mate with an HPC who would be very interested in the Nitrons. FYI Your original exhaust system is still going well on my car. Hope it all works out okay All the best Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset

  22. If you check out the spark plug type for a car that had the VX2.0 16V redtop engine fitted e.g Calibra or Astra on the NGK partfinder website here then the recommended spark plug is the BKR6EK. However on the same website if you check under Caterham 2.0 HPC then it recommends BCPR7E. Anybody know why 🤔 Is it do with the difference in running on injection or on carbs 🤔 I have run my car on both BKR6EK (Dual electrode) and on BCPR7ES (single electrode)and find that the BCPR7ES are more prone to 'sooting' up. Also what is the difference between the BCPR7E and the BCPR7ES 🤔 There are also Iridium equivalents (BKR6EIX or BCPR7EIX) - are they worth the extra cost 🤔 Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  23. For a fellow HPC owner whose car only has the standard 16V badge ☹️ Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  24. Posting this for a fellow Sevener who does not have access to BC at the moment. ☹️ On his HPC the ride was very hard so we were looking at changing the front springs. When we took the old ones off we found that they were actually 5" springs but in the relaxed state had been wound up on the adjusters to reduce the spring length to 3.5". This lead us to think that the ride problem was due to the spring being 'coilbound' i.e insufficient movement when in operation. Probably great for the track but not much good for everyday road use. Any comments 🤔 We are thinking of trying the dampers (Bilsteins with adj. platforms) with the springs in a more extended setting, what effect will this have on the ride height 🤔 Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
