  1. Anybody got a windscreen washer bottle like this one here that they no longer require? Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset

  3. Thanks for the replies. I am converting to injection and have got a standard injection tank with built in pump. The connection to the original Facet pump is indeed a green wire which is live as soon as the ignition is switched on.but I couldn't trace it back to a source. I was hoping to use this for the injection pump. I am using an SBD MBE 967 ECU which does control the fuel pump via a relay and one of the connections on the interface loom is for the fuel pump so was hoping to just connect this to the exsiting green wire. But may have to put in some bigger wire (I do have a heater) - yet more things to run down the tunnel ❗ Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  4. Anybody got a wiring diagram for a Vauxhall 2.0XE on carbs that shows the wiring for the Facet fuel pump? I have the standard wiring diagram from the assembly guide for a Vauxhall on carbs but cannot see the fuel pump on it. I need to find the wiring for it under the dash so I can connect it to the new ECU as I want to use the same wiring to connect to the new injection pump. Thanks for your help. 5. Thanks for the pictures Steve, most useful I have found that from the same seller on EBay it is possible to get a 28/16mm reducing elbow which might also be a possibility. Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  6. Paul, The one in the SBD catalugue looks very much like the one that I have got and surprisingly it is 28mm. I will ask Jenvey if they do a smaller version. Steve, Yes, that is the pipe I mean. I will investigate to see if CC or Redline have the 'J' Pipe. The reducer could work if I used a joiner tube to extend the 16mm part. Been searching for such a reducer and all the time it was on fleaBay ❗ Thanks for your help Seven Goes Mad in Dorset Edited by - Tiny Tim on 25 Nov 2009 13:00:16
  7. The SBD manifold for the VX 2.0 XE has a coolant hose connection with a diameter of 28mm. This has to connect to the submarine pipe which has a 16mm connection. What's the best solution for this 🤔 I know it is possible to get reducer hoeses but can't seem to find any that will do this. Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  8. Thanks. Any idea whether it is the short or long end of the 'J' pipe that connects to the filter 🤔 Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  9. On an injection set up with the standard CC injection tank my understanding is that there is a fuel pipe with a banjo fitting (here)that connects to the tank and this then connects to the filter but there is also a 'J' pipe here 🤔 Does the pipe from the tank connect to the J pipe and then to the filter or to the filter and then the J pipe 🤔 There is also an adaptor on the CC website here where does this go 🤔 Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  10. Paul and Ian, thanks for the comments... The LN engine has a different arrangement for tensioning the belt than the earlier engines. Having just done a cambelt change I don't really fancy taking it off again to remove the backplate and am not over keen on running without the cam belt cover. (Just nervous to have all those bits exposed going round at 7500rpm ❗) I have heard of somebody trimming the backplate to provide clearance or I was wondering about making up a suitable spacer to fit between the pulley and the crank pulley 🤔 Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  11. Has anybody fitted the SBD multi-vee pulley to a LN version of the Vauxhall 2.0 XE? I did a trial fit today and the pulley clashes with the cam belt backplate. Does the backplate have to be modified to use this pulley? Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  12. Hi, I am interested in the bonnet. YHM Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  13. Anybody got an injection fuel tank going spare? (For a standard S3) Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  14. I assume that for SBD Direct to Head throttle bodies a bonnet with a special cut out is required. i.e the cutout on the bonnet for carbs is not in the right place! Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset

  16. Mark, I had exactly the same problem on my VX HPC. I have an aero cap and have bought an overhaul kit from Newton Equipment who are the original manufacturer of the aero fuel caps. It seems to be ok now but I am still considering drilling a hole just to be sure. Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  17. I recently had exactly the same problem on a 16V VX. I had the aero filler type cap and have since bought an overhaul kit and new saddle from Newton Equipment (OEM for the fuel caps). Haven't been able to try it on a long journey yet as I am currently working in Korea. If it is still a problem I will be drilling a hole as suggested by Paul. Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  18. Steve Greenald has checked this out for me and apparently the MBE for the R300 cannot be converted to the vauxhall. Something to do with the firmware only recognising the K series trigger wheel. Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  19. RJ MBE details as follows: - 967 MBE (part no 72908, serial no 00023145, software no 967BC474). Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  20. Thanks guys, I will try and give Steve a call. Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  21. Is it possible to remap a Caterham supplied MBE 967 from an R300 (K Series) to a map suitable for a Vauxhall 2.0XE engine 🤔 Will a Caterham supplied ECU be 'locked' to prevent re-mapping. Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  22. First dibs please. YHM Luckily I work in Poole! Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  23. Paul, Yes please if still available. Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
  24. Unfortunately the SBD can is too big for my current system which is 2". However I would be interested in the H & S subject to age, condition, price, etc. Can you let me have first dibs when you are ready to sale. Thanks Tim Seven Goes Mad in Dorset
