Oh, yes if I were to have £12500 to spend, I may spend £8500 on an old crossflow, and then spend the rest fitting a duratec to it. RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP

Heavy steering . No. just buy a freestyle pushrod, and you'll get very light steering. For my two penneth. for £12500, you'll get a very nice 2.0 VX. unless you are going to hoon it around a track a lot, you wont notice the SLIGHT defficiency in the handling of a VX. Lazeeeeeeeeeey power is nice. Last year at Lemans, driving around with an R500evo, superlight R CSR200 and R300, it was noted buy all other drivers that me and mr CSR were changing gear far less than anybody else and going just as quickly .Makes for much less frenetic driving. But then that is what you may be looking for RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP

Myles ,The temp you have mentioned seem OK , not too hot. I would have thought the tray would cause some heating issues as you will get no cool air from under the car passing over the engine itself and out throught the bonnett louvers. RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP

I just tried to fit my 1995 nose cone onto my new long front . Doesn't fit *mad* ☹️. Can somebody confirm if the nosecones were changed when the new suspension done in 1996. the cut out for the lower wishbones are completely wrong. Just spent MOney getting TSK to spray my old one looks like i'll need anew one. ☹️ RED 2.0 HPC 230BHP
