  2. That was me, on my way to Northampton Motorsport to get the seven remapped. First spotted in 12+ years of Caterham ownership and it's the trailer, not the car. I purchased the trailer from Dave Jackson a couple of years ago and left the club logo on it.

Last week I re-installed my Duratec engine some 5 months after removing it, when I tried to start it I had the exact same symptons as you've described not priming, sparking and ECU dead, thought that I must have blown the MBE whilst jumping off, as battery was dud. Looked through some pics I had taken whilst removing and noticed 1 cable I'd forgotten to connect, once connected fuel pump primed plugs sparked and hey presto life. Might be worth checking all your connections, mine was the purple cable in the pic located under the throttle bodies. Good Luck

    I can confirm the backs are ok and no tears just a couple of marks, I'm unable to measure the seats until Monday as away from home, pretty sure they will fit. I am located in North Lincs but will be travelling to near Newcastle airport on Tuesday morning(I see your in the north east) so if you want them or to see if suitable I can have them with me and meet up on route. Quoting nutty7: I had the same problem last year so started to monitor the level was losing fluid very slowly just kept topping up couldn't find any leaks under car either, researched it and realised it could only be the slave cylinder, so over the winter took engine and gearbox out replaced cylinder and clutch release bearing plus put a new clutch in, car had only done 9000 miles.     MBE Help

    Thanks for the replies, car is booked in at Northampton Motorsport, have heard good reports about them, plus it's a lot closer to me than Dartford. Spoke with Troy at NMS and he has worked on MBE locked caterhams before. Also i am quite sure i have seen MBE967 on it, but am in Denmark at the moment so can't check. Paul

    Hi Have booked my Duratec 2.3 for a rolling road/remap, the engine was purchased directly from minister power ( who are no longer trading ) please does anyone know if the ECU will be locked or not. Thanks Paul
