  3. Thanks for the replies, pulled the engine out this afternoon and it's definitely leaking. The gearbox also has a leak so will have to try and find out where from.
  4. The rear crank seal is leaking on my 2.3 Duratec. I believe this is the replacement part https://www.burtonpower.com/rear-crankshaft-seal-ford-duratec-he-i4-fd708.html Could someone confirm this is the correct part, also any tips on fitting as I have not done one before. Thank you.
  5. Robin Hood? Not in York, maybe Dick Turpin.
  6. nutty7 - I'll check the logs... Is the number plate light covering the hole where the spare wheel carrier bolt is normally. The carrier was cut off.
  7. Is the car a 1997 Supersport R, look's very like the engine bay of my old car I sold in 2006. Red hoses and blue Magnecor leads.
  8. I would suggest this has more to do with the force on the thermostat rather than volume of air passing through the radiator. Could this not be proved, disapproved by just revving the engine when parked up.
  9. Sold, I would like to add it's always a pleasure selling within the club, easy no fuss transactions with trust from both parties.
  10. I have a trackday booked with Motorsport Vision next Tuesday 28th July, unfortunately I cannot attend due to work commitments. I have spoken with MSVT and can do a name change. Format open pit lane, £150 if interested mail me. Paul

    Fuel Pump

An update for anyone looking to replace the fuel pump in the future. The original pump fitted was a AC6443327 as I needed a pump with more flow rate but wanted to keep it internal to the tank I chose a Walbro GSS340 high pressure pump. Rated at 255ltr/hr @ 3 bar. Old pump, filter sock very dirty New pump slighter larger circumference. I had to make a cut in the plastic holder so it would fit the slightly larger pump. The metal frame with rubber luckily still fitted and held the pump firmly in place. New filter sock fitted. I also purchased a wiring kit for the Walbro pump as the old pump just had spade connections, I tested the pump in a bowl of fuel before installing to check wiring was correct, it was all good. red/red black/black. All the parts were from Demon Tweeks. Pump FSEGSS340 Wiring Kit (plug) FSE22-615 Filter Sock ATLFT-AB-003

    Fuel Pump

Hi after piston detonation and an engine rebuild it seems that the pump was to blame, I am looking to replace the original 6443327 with an uprated version . https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/fuel-pump-for-caterham-7-motorsport-upgrade-pump-itp144?pn=ITP144 Has anyone installed the MM one it looks like a direct replacement, also will it have enough flow rate rate for 260ish BHP. Any info appreciated. Paul

  14. Hi Mossy, I will take these if still available.
  15. Graham, It might be worth giving the Lincs AR a heads up to see if there is any local interest.
  16. Thanks, I'll give them a call.
  17. Do you have a part number for the SV, can't seem to find them on Caterhams website.
  18. You can also Sikaflex or Tiger seal them on. (mudguards)
  19. Caterham K&N wheels ET24 Shod with Avon CR500 205/55 x 13 and 175/55 x 13, tyres just above wear bars. Three of the wheels are in good condition but the fourth needs repainting due to balance weight scrape as shown in picture and some paint flaking. Price £400 can deliver to Croft this Friday.
  20. Yes as Midas said spring lengths should be checked, just winding up the collars could cause to much pre-load.
