Mine has been on 5 years and on the nose cone has quite a lot of pitting now. Would the wife's turbo hair dryer generate enough heat to flatten it out? Or do I have to borrow a heat gun?
Cheers
mine flew off the windscreen and flapped around the back of the car whilst I worked out what had just happened. Caterham had used the wrong poppers, fixed by a quick visit to Oxted.
The fit is as you described, floppy and a bow. But it stays on now tested to 70mph.
The gentleman who could not fit in his friends s3 for the Taffia run this year, so they removed the passenger seat and he sat on the floor deserves a prize. Seeing him squeezed into the car at Machynlleth was both hilarious and hugely impressive at the same time!
Less than two years on the replacement radiator - well fitted by Premier Power as per previous photos, changed to blue coolant (regular flushing) and Williams spotted a leak yesterday. What can we do? I remember reading recently someone suggesting changing to more flexible hoses could reduce vibration transfer. Does anyone have experience of this? Any other ideas welcome! or are we doomed to a new radiator every other year!
In reply to JR9470: Yes thats the mic sensitivity setting, controlled by the phone app. I cant remember how many settings there are 3 or 5, anyway we played around with those and got it perfect for both the Mrs and I (she speaks softly, I tend to boom...).
Interesting. I watch the gauge a lot on the road and from cold, it takes a good while to register any temperature. Once warm and settled it's 85-90 deg and hardly moves. On track I find it difficult to monitor for obvious reasons! I do remember a club instructor suggesting we cooled off, the gauge was over 110 but can't remember exactly. I also think it was during those really hot days we had last year.
