  1. Thanks Jerry, Hadn't seen that reveiw I've just found the mixed ones on the internet which need to be taken with a certain amonut of salt. Your right with the 185's and more choice, however I think my Scholared K my give them quite a shoeing ! I might have to use track day tyres and go easy if I get caught in a shower, I've used A008R previously and they were a little interesting on damp road to say the least, Thanks for posting the info. cheers
  2. Thanks Tom, I'll give them a miss, i'd like something with a little more grip than those, but not the short circa 5000 mile life of 048's 😳
  3. Quote: I'd fit 185s to the rear as well rather than fit any of those. Not sure what you mean by that Jerry Brand Quality Size 🤔 🤔 🤔
  4. Hi David, I did see those however when I tried to order I found the fronts wern't available as the F5 is now an obsolete model - which is an 🙆🏻! Thanks anyway
  5. Since I want to keep to road tyres for the moment , I'm somewhat limited in what tyres I can get in matching pattern 185/60 x 13 front and 205/60 x 13 rear. Just wondered if anyone used either of these Nankang EX 601 Marshal 719 Kumho 769 Looking for some feedback really, Thanks
  6. Firstly I have no connection with Powervamp aside from being a VERY satisfied customer. I called regarding a PC 680 battery, I spoke to Ed Roller who looks after the racing side of the business and on telling him of the L7C membership he asked if he could explain the pricing. It seems that a good while back, around 16 months a price was given out by an ex employee which after the 10% club discount allowed members to get a PC 680 delivered including VAT for around £66. This price was given in error, however in order to maintain a good relationship with L7C Powervamp honoured this price for the next 12 months purely as goodwill, taking a heavy margin hit in doing so. ☹️ However lead has now increased to such a price now that they can no longer honour this and the correct price as of 02/05/06 is RRP £71.53 + £7.50 + vat. The discount that Powervamp currently offer all club members is 10% off the RRP plus 1/2 price carriage, making the price for a PC 680 £64.38 + 3.75 carriage + vat. This comes to £80.05. I offered to place this thread as information only as firstly Ed offer excellent advice to me, and Powervamp have a superb reputation amongst existing owners for service. In recent weeks Ed has found himself on the end of somewhat 'negative' comments regarding the price increase over what's on the L7C site, - just because someone's posted a thread on here doesn't mean to say it's true - a bit like anything on the web really. 😳 If you need to check a price or, your looking for good advice as I was - speak to Ed on 01934 643000 Thanks

  8. Nifty, I believe CC simply use a taller final drive for their touring option the 6 speeder remains the same.
  9. Speak to David @ Hyperion Motorsport, he sorted me out with a very good engine loon R400 with MBE plug last week, I'll have to rework the plug to take the Emerald MEMS plug though Loom £50 = shipping = theft.
  10. You can insure your ehicle on the chassis number for the SVAno problem, aas for PBC trailer or do this aftr the SVA as many have done. I think yuo may struggle to insure it to go to PBC unless you managed to get a PBC booked in the moning en ruote to the SVA! Godd luck with the SVA and if you could please let me have some feedback as I'll be there in a fw weeks
  11. Tramlining........... Instability under hard braking........
  12. Dave, Superb result ! quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bhp doesn't come from litres, it comes from valve area It's not valve area that's the crucial, but the total circumference of the valves over which the gas flows.
  13. Have any of you guys who've gone the Brise route got a starter spacer they'd care to sell to me ? thanks
  14. The noise sounds like the filter is full of air, have you got oil form the tank to the pump? What sealer did you use on the sump? It's possible that exess sealer have found it's way into the tank and restricted the feed oil supply? Like has been suggested before check the gauge, if your pressure suddenly dropped to zero I'd expect to hear the big ends starting to object! - however you've not mentioned this....? Hope you get it sorted so you can blat over easter.
  15. Myles, I set the wheels to centre by looking at the front wheel position in relation to the back, best viewed from the front at axle height. Then using the following: 2 x lengths of ally box or true hardwood, with cup hooks 1 in each end in the long edge, 2 short lengths of 6-8mm rope and 2 peices of old bike inner tube. Basically the 'bars' are held against the tyre (or with stand off adaptors the rim) by means of the rope and the elastic nature of the inner tube, a measure can then be applied up to the tyre in front and behind the tyre. Sounds a little bit bit Heath Robinson meets Wallace & Gronit buts it remarkably accurate. Take care not to have the elastics so tight the deform the tyre and set 'bars' an equal height up the tyre, I use a brick as a height guide. cheers 7WOTW
  16. Brent, What wheel / tyre combo are you running as very low profiles tend to induce tramling. Look for uneven tyre pressures and exessive front camber too cheers 7WOTW
  17. Try Evostik's 'Sticks like Sh!t' I've found it to be much better than many of the no more nails type adhesives, especially when used near water.
  18. The R500 flywheel is the only light K version CC ffer now, they stop doing the other version some 6 months back Th R500 weighs in atad over 3KG and cost £250 = theft cheers 7 wonders
