  2. not sure on the wide ones but std seem to take 8x13 will 205 or 215 OK. Bakewell Eh?, '13 bends' is a fine road for a 7!
  3. *eek*Sorry, my mistake, I thought you were 'testing the water to see what interest was out there' Seems me and 2 others aren't ......... ❗
  4. *idea*Argos or B&Q - 4 sets of bathroom scales with a 150kg range 🤔 ............and a couple of planks and your away
  5. Seal the floor first with PVA ration of around 1 part PVA to 6 parts water, obvioulsy make sure the floors clean and oil free first
  6. I've already got a VHPD 4-2-1 with Cat bypass so all I really need is a good quality lightweight repackable silcencer - Raceco *thumbup*
  7. Just taken a look on the site, no sign of the 1" wrap now ???
  8. Since my preference, from a purely cosmectic point of veiw would be to run without spare.......... however since I also beleive in the Law of Murphy I think I'd probably better carry one, since whenever I've had a flat in the tintop no amount of tyre weld would of helped. So this got me thinking: Spares are heavy, not pretty and expansive Caterham 8 spoke / R888! Is any one out there using a space saver? this would be lighter (marginaly) cheaper and would due to it's waif like proportions, give the 7 a neater backside! Anyone tried it / suggestions? Would of course make driving interesting if you ever had to use the thing, but it's better than being stranded mid Wales with no spare at all.
  9. Silver superlight with he roof up (wus ) i think on a GN04 or GN05 plate @ 1245 heading toward Leominster on the A4112 Top marks fro being out on such a crappy day *thumbup*
  10. Alicat, Some modern Diesel's are now 'throttled'...............
  11. I looked at the alloy version, though after speaking to Steve @ Vibration free, his experience was of inconsistent machining. His advice to me was run the standard pulley, providing it's in good order as the torsional damping properties are beneficial on a road going engine in terms of longevity, even for 8000+rpm. Naturally if your running Pace DS you need to machined the power steering drive off hence saving a little weight and since the front pulley is a relatively small diameter the benefits are negligible anyway. Though the anodised ones do look sexy !!
  12. I'm looking for a good R500 steel flywheel (3.1KG) and a pair of K series Verniers also a full set of mint timing covers too! drop me a mail if you can help 🤔 Thanks *cool*
  13. Which model? Are you talking fornt forks or rear suspension unit ?
  14. I did some digging on this one a couple of weeks back and discoverd it's another area that CC have tied up. Both the AP cover and plare are specific to CC, and are not the same as any other aftermarket part, yes you can buy vcvers and plates that fit, but, according to th technical guy at AP CC have upped the spec on both items twice, the plate has upreated torsional vibration spring and the covers has a different leverage ratio on the diaphragm. So after al that I went to CC plate cvoer and beaqring came to 160+ theft. Sorry I can't post the part numbers as the kits currently with Steve @ vibration fee! cheers Neil.
  15. Andy, Go back in this thread and the prices are there, it also seems the ZF route may tied up so I'm simply offering to others the deal I secured. The ZF may have carpark kudos, however check out the charteristics before you buy, most need Phil's (R&R) 'touch' to modofy them for use with a 7. cheers Neil
  16. I've just bought a Tran X gear kit and they buuilt me a shaft up with a short 5th, OK this will hurt a little on the motorways but hey if you want to drive on motorways buy a Mondeo ! Using these with a 3.92 gives me the same overal range as a CC 6 speeder with a 3.62 The 3.92 might go if I can get my hands on a 4.1 though !! 2.48 1.69 1.27 1.00 0.9237 There are other ratio sets available and the guys are keen to help if you've specific requirement too. cheers Neil.
  17. John, If your looking for a plate LSD now try Tran X, I got 12.5% discount on 1 unit and they offered Grant 17.5% on a batch of 10......... cheers Neil.
  18. Tran X do an excellent cluster with choice of ratios too, I've opted for a 2.48 1st, with a short .9259 5th, I'll run this with 3.92 LSD until I get my hands on 4.1!) this gives the same overal ratio spread as a 6 speeder with a 3.62 but a lot cheaper. cheers
  19. K series kidney tank only please - Price and spec to follow ? Thanks
