  1. Howard, was '400' a typo that should be 4000 miles per annum 🤔 Why would anyone would only use their 7 for 400 miles a year 400miles - that's 1 good Sunday blat
  2. Your right as always Dave, I meant to say the early 1.8 (non VVC) 143 x 26 manual tensioner later 1.8 (non VVC) 98 onwards used a 145 x 26 auto tensioner.
  3. Griff, Your right in the fact that the correct belt is a VVC version but it MUST be the early VVC (143 x 26) as the later VVC's use an auto tensioner with a belt 2 teeth longer (145 x 26) I've just bought one, I'll look tonight to give you the Gates part number. cheers
  4. The early VVC belt is the wide version (143 teeth x 26mm) for use with a manual tensioner. I'd always clock the cams on a belt change as a matter of course.
  5. I see Camskill can do 4 R88's (2 x 185 & 2 x 205 13) for £258 at the moment........ anyone know of any better deals on these or Yoko's........ 🤔 Thanks
  6. This could be really useful to a lot of people, I was just going to order my Magnatron (Skoda version) direct........... but I think I'll wait and see now !
  7. Hmmm Grubster your right....... I feel a phone call may be required in the morning ❗ Edited by - 7 wonders of the world on 16 Mar 2006 20:23:39
  8. Yep £250, CC only allow you cost price and charge you retail for the new ones If you look at the new prices on the CC site the difference is only £36 😳
  9. Going for the composite Tillets, there is an upgrade option via CC but this is quite expensive 🙆🏻 So this way I can reduce my upgrade cost and someone can grab a bargain too
  10. A pair of brand new cloth seats will be avaialble on delivery on my kit - circa mid May Unused & un fitted as supplied from CC These are £293 each new from CC 😳 £480 pair - delivery by negotiation Cheers
  11. 2nd dibs on the tyres please
  12. This may be of use............. or not ! I was looking to use the Pipercross on a K / Jenvey and came accross the Jenvey made 'deep backplate' which is fully Pipercross compatible (since Pipercross make the filters for Jenvey) It's glass fibre construction and is 50mm deep and supplied undrilled. Unfortunately it won't clear the chassis diagonal using DTH TB's however I'm hot sure if the roller barrels are positioned further out ? Might be usefull for those wanting extra long trumpets etc.......... Since I'm not too far form them, Dean @ Jenvey offered a very good cash and collect price to
  13. Nice example of the OE Ford lightweight cast iron version , No cracks good condition £18 Buyer to collect from North Herefordshire or Redditch.

  15. OK, I've found one dimension but I still need to establish, if, in theoretical terms it would be possible to mount a 50mm spcer between the Jenvey's and the standard Pipercross backplate - or would the backplate now foul on the chassis diagonal Hope this is cleaer than my previous post Thanks
  16. Is anyone running Jenvey DTH TB's that could check the dimension from the filter end of the TB's to the bonnet maximum ..........and dimension form the centre line of the TB's to the chassis rail over which the filter passes I'm looking inot airboxes and my car is a few weeks away yet ☹️ Thanks in advance for any help
  17. Dave, If your going down the roller route are your selling your current Jenvey compatible airbox ? If so I could be interested Neil.
  18. Franky, Very interested..... 1-Could you clarify if this will fit a K / Jenvey set up on std injectors? 2-Having not seen on in the fleah I assume the integral filter is the panel type hence the restriction on internal depth - could this be removed and replaced by a cone filter in order to fit longer trumpets ? I'm sure there are a few more Jenvey's runners thinking the same at the moment Thanks
  19. Dave, Any idea if this would fit a K with Jenvey's? I know Bernard is making a new version for use with 90mm tumpets and a larger 85mm filter neck but this is well under that price......... also with it clear the standard fuel rail / injectors or will I need to 'invest' (read more dosh!)in the Pico versions? Thanks
  20. As it says wanted for use on a K.......... anyone out there with a spare forllowing going down the Duratec / MBE route, i'd be happy to give it a loving home........ Thanks
